Siena Rondo - traditional vibrator discontinued by Mantric - review by Airen Wolf

When I read the first review of the Siena Rondo I had only ever used the more traditional 3 speed vibrators. I quickly changed that and explored a good number of other vibrators featuring patterns but I never lost my lust for the Rondo. It's like that first unrequited love, you never quite get it out of your mind!

The Siena Rondo is no lightweight, slimline toy. It measures in at 8.5 inches in total length with about 5.25 inches being insertable. This isn't a toy that will tuck away in a drawer and be inconspicuous! It measures approximately 5.5 inches around and has gentle textures along the shaft that aren't felt easily while thrusting the toy, but can be felt fairly easily if you slow down and look for them. The textures are ripples in the molded silicone and add a bit of curve to the tip of the toy which helps with G spotting, provided you are aware of where your G spot is. The tip of the toy is blunted, it doesn't poke the inside of the vagina so sensitive users can rest easy. It is long enough to reach the back wall of even the longest vaginal canal so care should be taken with vigorous thrusting or when playing with a partner.
The girth of this toy is enough to fill but not so much that it causes uncomfortable stretching for most ladies. If you suffer from vaginismus or prefer slimmer toys then this is most definitely going to be a challenge or something you might wish you had skipped.

The Siena Rondo is made of silicone that is food-grade material, hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous, and is phthalates free. On the site the yellow looks very pale and almost white but in reality it is bright yellow. It does pick up lint, though, so a quick rinse before use is recommended. The toy feels very velvety but quickly becomes smooth when a touch of lube is added.
This is a silicone toy so water based lube is safe but if you really prefer silicone then a spot test of an inconspicuous area will save you from marring the finish of your new toy. I haven't noticed any negative reaction when using this toy with a silicone lube.
Simple warm water and mild soap is about all you need to keep this toy shiny and clean but you could also use a commercial toy cleaner or a 10% bleach and water spray. Pay attention to the grooves in the base of the toy and around the control panel as they can collect body fluids and lube.
Since this is made of silicone it can be shared but if you plan on sharing it during play a condom would make clean up easier and stop possible cross contamination.
This isn't an anal safe toy as it has no flared base and it's longer length is no guarantee a determined butt won't slurp it on down!

The control panel is located on the base of the toy and is two flat buttons you press with a led light that flashes red, orange and gree depending on what the toy is doing at the time. The top button controls the speeds and variations and the bottom one cycles down through the speeds and variations. Hold the bottom button for a few seconds to turn the toy off.

This is not a traditional three speed vibrator, instead it offers 10 levels of vibration starting with the traditional straight vibrations in low medium and high.
Low is deep and rumbly with the vibrations being concentrated in the top of the toy but not in the tip.
Medium is a touch more powerful and yet still deep and rumbly. Again the vibrations are concentrated in the top of the toy but the tip moves more vigorously.
High begins to approach buzzy but never quite reaches it. It is more powerful than medium but won't 'burn' a sensitive clit.
The next three stages are pulsations. They differ in how fast and slow the pulses are.
The next three are a rollercoaster type of escalation. They differ in how slow they begin and how fast they escalate.
The last variation is a wild card of pulsing, and escalation. This is my favorite speed!
This toy will not buzz your socks off with speed and power but it gets the job done and fairly quietly at that. It can barely be heard on it's most vigorous speed outside a door when it is on the top of the bed but not if it is under the covers or inserted.

The Rondo is waterproof and doesn't leak even if used in the bathtub. The base of the toy unscrews to reveal a very large and thick O ring as well as revealing the battery housing. The toy takes 4 AAA and the housing is clearly labeled. Be sure to screw the cap on firmly to prevent leaks.

I still LOVE this toy. The motor is still rocking and the silicone looks as beautiful as it did the day it arrived. The girth is amazing, the length is just right and...well I'm gushing about a toy again!
