iVibe pocket rocket sex toy review
This is a good, strong, discreet vibe for clitoral stimulation. However, it is hard to turn on and off and only has one setting.Published: April 19, 2008
Pros:
strong, compact, discreet, wireless
Cons:
one setting, goes through batteries quickly, hard to turn on and off
I was given my first pocket rocket when I directed a production of "The Vagina Monologues." (The cast thought I needed a gift to de-stress.) It was my first vibrator, so I had a LOT of fun getting familiar with it.
The ivibe pocket rocket is fairly compact, so I was really surprised when I felt the sheer power of the vibrations that it produced. It has only one setting, and I found that the vibrations were a little bit too strong for my taste when I put a fresh battery in it. However, once I had let the battery run down a bit, it was much more comfortable to use. Once it was running at a comfortable strength for me, it never took me more than four or five minutes to have an orgasm while using it. It was also small enough to be comfortably used for clitoral stimulation during partner sex.
Once the battery got fairly run down, I had the problem of not being able to feel much of anything. I was changing the batteries on it fairly often. I think the major design flaw of the ivibe is that the bottom half twists all the way off when you change the batteries. This is a problem because you also have to twist it to turn it on and off, so it was not unusual for me to turn it just a little too far and send the batteries and half the vibrator flying across the room. (Also, the on/off mechanism was a challenge to use with slippery fingers...)
Ultimately, I think that the ivibe is best when it is being used for clitoral stimulation for short periods of time. It is fairly strong, and it got the job done pretty quickly for me. However, you do have to remember that it is NOT for insertion. I tried it, and moisture got into the battery compartment, effectively shorting out the device!

what exactly are pocket rockets?

Pocket Rockets are small but powerful vibrators that unfortunately have a lifespan of about 60-90 total hours. The are inexpensive and worth the rpice for at least trying out.

Thank you for viewing iVibe pocket rocket – sex toy review page!

At least it works well as a neck massager while you're waiting for the batteries to run down a little.
It's pricey for only having one setting. While it went through batteries do you by chance use reusable? They have saved us a LOT of money!
thanks for the review
The trick for the Doc Johnsin pocket rockets is to push up as you twist it on. That will make it a million times easier if you remember that. I have the black magic, and an older white one (i forget the name) and I would get so frustrated trying to turn it on. They are top quality pocket rockets, though. Never had any so good as that. I had one or two more expensive ones and just gave them away because they were not powerful at all. Great review
@Sleeping Dreamer: I use rechargeable batteries too! They work awesome and definitely save you a crap load of money. I'm not sure about this particular vibe but if you want a pocket rocket that can blow your world for only one setting, the Doc Johnson Black Magic vibe works great. I reviewed it recently on my profile. It is by far the most powerful mini vibe I own.
Thanks for the review, as another poster mentioned, the price for the product seems a bit much for one setting.
