Rondo - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Close2You - review by The Vixen

The Rondo is a lovely G-spot vibrator by the German brand Close2You. The Rondo has dual motors in its shaft, one in the middle and one at the end of its curved tip. These motors pulse with unique “musical” themed patterns.
The Rondo has a lightly textured shaft that is very mild and gentle, yet provides a great sensation when it’s thrust. The Rondo is designed to simultaneously stimulate the outer vagina and labia, as well as the G-spot. Because of its handle, the Rondo would also be safe for anal use as well.
This toy features light to moderate vibrations, a natural shape, and controls that are simple to use. But I believe this toy could appeal to not just beginners, but advanced users as well. The light texture is very nice and the unique vibration patterns and quality of the product and packaging can be appreciated by everyone.

The shaft of the Rondo is made from silicone, and the handle is made from velvety ABS plastic. Both silicone and plastic are body-safe and non-porous, and neither of these materials will harbor any harmful bacteria in their materials.
The silicone used for the Rondo feels so incredibly smooth, much more so than other silicone toys that I own. It does have a bit of drag and will pick up lint. When using a lubricant with this toy, make sure to use a water-based lube instead of a silicone-based lube. Silicone lubes can have a chemical reaction with silicone toy, which results in the silicone deteriorating and that will ruin the toy.

The silicone is firm, but does have a little bit of give, allowing the shaft to flex a little bit.

The Rondo is about 8” long, with the insertable portion of the shaft being 5”. The shaft measures 4.5” around at its widest part, and tapers down to 4.25” near the base of the shaft. This shaft also features a handle which has an opening that measures 1.25” x 0.75” which this is large enough for me to put 2 fingers through.

When you look at the Rondo from the side, you can see that it is “J” shaped. If you draw a straight line from the handle to the tip of the toy, you’ll see the curve measures a difference of 1.5” in the middle.
The shaft has 4 bulgy ridges, you can feel them because of a slight difference in size, but they’re very smooth and don’t feel rough or unpleasant.

There is a seam than runs up and down the center of the shaft, but I haven’t been able to feel it while using this toy. There is also a small portion of the upper shaft, just below the handle that has a raised Close2You logo. It’s low enough on the shaft that it could get inserted, but it’s not rough at all, I know I’ve inserted the logo portion and didn’t notice feeling anything.

The charging port is located next to the controls on the handle of the toy. The adapter is a standard jack style, and the port for it is cover by a silicone plug that is attached to the Rondo. This does keep splashing water out, but I wouldn’t trust it enough to fully submerge the toy in water.

The Rondo is controlled by two buttons on the handle. The smaller button is the dedicated power button that will turn the toy on and off instantly; so no having to hold a button and wait for a few seconds for the toy to turn off. The second button is larger than the first, and just has a raised dot in the middle of it. This button will cycle through each of the 6 functions.
To turn the toy on, press the power button and the toy will start up at the first mode, which is the steady vibration setting. There is no way to change the intensity; you are only able to switch between the 6 different modes using the function button.




To turn the toy off at any time, just press the power button and you’re good to go.

The Rondo doesn’t have tons of power, it’s probably 3 vrooms, however the Rondo is very quiet, I’d rank it between 1 and 2 bees.

The Rondo is pretty simple to clean. It’s splash proof, so I just spray my Rondo down with toy cleaner and then rinse it off in the sink. You can also use soap and water or toy wipes if you prefer. And since this toy is silicone, you can use a 10% bleach solution to sanitize it.

Charging the Rondo takes a little bit of guesswork. There are no lights or charging indicator, and that’s something that I don’t like about this toy. I usually leave it on the charger 4 to 6 hours to make sure it’s fully charged, and I seem to get an hour to an hour and a half from each full charge. There is a noticeable drop in power before it dies, so I’m able to tell when I need to charge it.

The Rondo comes in some of the best packaging I’ve ever seen. It comes in a white box that measures 7.5” long x 6.5” deep x 3.5” tall. The top of the box is a flap that lifts up and reveals the toy sitting inside its drawer.



The toy resides in the upper drawer and rests in some black foam that can be removed. The lower drawers contain some awesome extras. Included with the toy is its charger, a 7.75” x 5.5” velvet storage pouch, a purple silicone C-ring, a toy cleaning wipe, a sample packet of lube, and an instruction booklet. The charger that is included in the box has a European plug, when I received my Rondo there was an additional little box that was in with my shipment that contained the correct wall charger. The C-ring that’s included is actually pretty great and my partner and I love it.

The first thing about Rondo that appealed to me were the ridges on its shaft. They’re bulgy and more organic looking than other sorts of texture. For me, they’re perfect.
As I’ve stated in a number of my other reviews, I adore dual motors. The Rondo was actually the first toy I bought that had dual motors. Once I experienced them and the patterns they can create, I fell madly in love them.
This toy was designed to be a dual stimulator, but unless you’re really closely spaced, chances are you’re not going to get full clitoral stimulation while the toy is inserted. I like to pair the Rondo with my favorite clit vibe, and it’s always a winning combo.

You can thrust this toy or you can rock it, you really can’t go wrong either way. It’s worked really well for me for G-spotting and it’s one of the only toys I have that has actually made me squirt.
The Rondo is one of my very favorite toys, and though it doesn’t have control over vibration intensity, or loads of power, I still find it unmatched. I love the size, the ridges, the synchronized motors and having the handle is great. Plus the packaging and extras are fabulous.
