Rondo - g-spot vibrator by Close2You - review by Eva Schwaltz

Oh Lovely Rondo

The Rondo is a fantastic G-spot vibrator but to those inclined it can also be used anally. It’s rechargeable and has a variety of lovely patterns to choose from. What’s not to love?
Rechargeable, two motors, body safe material, nice packaging
Noisy, not very powerful, standby charge doesn't last very long

extremely useful review

The Rondo from Close2You is a wonderful and versatile toy. As a dual stimulator, this vibrator doesn’t really deliver in that aspect but it makes for an excellent G-spot vibe. It could even be used anally as the handle would keep it from getting lost. Just be sure to completely sterilize before switching orifices or partners.

This toy also comes with a few accessories for couples to enjoy. Included is a silicone cock ring, sample of Glissando water based lubricant, a toy wipe, and a velvet storage pouch. It also comes with a charger so you can charge the toy up for your next play session.

Material / Texture

The main shaft of the toy is silicone and the handle is plastic. Silicone is a fantastic material because it is one of the most body safe materials for a sex toy. It’s non-porous, hypo-allergenic, latex free, and free of phthalates.

It has small bulges for added texture but it’s very mild. I don’t notice it but those who are very texture sensitive will notice it. There is a seam that goes lengthwise along the shaft but it’s blended in well. The Close2You logo is on the shaft near the handle and is slightly raised.

Design / Shape / Size

The total length is 7 ¾” so it’s not that cumbersome to handle. The insertable length is 5 ¼”. The circumference of the head is 4 ½” and this size slowly decreases as you move towards the handle. This is a moderate girth which doesn’t really provide the feeling of fullness. The moderate size and simple design is suitable for beginners and users of any other experience level.

Functions / Performance / Controls

There are two buttons on the Rondo. The smaller one is the on/off button and the larger one cycles through the different patterns. There are two motors but they can’t be controlled independently. The first pattern is a steady vibration from both motors and the rest of the patterns the motors vibrate back and forth in a variety of different ways. It’s really a unique experience.

I find the motor near the handle can get kind of noisy. It’s not loud but it rattles. It’s likely this will be heard through a closed door. The vibrations are rumbly but not very powerful. Luckily I don’t need strong internal vibrations but those who do will not be satisfied with Rondo.

Charge Rondo for about 6 hours and that should give you about 2 hours of play although mine seems to only last for an hour. There are no indications for when it is fully charged but I don’t think it can be over charged. The standby charge doesn’t last very long so charge it up before use.

Care and Maintenance

The Rondo is pretty easy to clean, just be sure to not get the area around the charging port wet. Soap and water will do the trick but toy cleaners or wipes are good too. It can be sterilized with a 10% bleach solution but don’t boil it.

Stick to only water based lubes because silicone lubes do not play nice with silicone toys.

The Rondo comes with a storage pouch but the box also works well for storage.

The packaging from this company is wonderful. The Rondo and its accessories come in a nice sturdy white cardboard box. The top drawer has the Rondo itself and the bottom drawer contains everything else. The included user manual spells out all of the awesome features of this toy in English and a variety of other languages.

I’m glad this company has switched to making rechargeable vibrators. The first toys I purchased (Opus and Harmonia) were both battery operated. Battery operated toys are not a deal breaker for me but more often than not, rechargeable toys are worth the higher price tag and I’m sure glad I got my hands on this one.

This is one of the most thrust friendly vibrators I’ve come across. The looped handle definitely makes things easier. It reminds me of the G4s from Fun Factory. It’s a toy I’m happy to own and hope you consider adding to your toy box.
