Finally, a gift that can really be enjoyed by anyone. Of all the thousands of vibrating products on Eden, I think this is the best bet for the most amount of people to enjoy in some way or another. Whether you use it alone, or with a partner, for body massages, or for personal pleasure, the Wahl can provide a lot of tension release. I personally found that it is best when used with a partner for areas like the back, shoulders, and thighs due to its design. I was dissapointed to find that it was difficult to use solo as a non sexual massager and wasn't the right speeds for me when used as a vibrator. I can finish from this toy, but I prefer to use the power on deep tissue relaxation. It's also a loud one, so it's not great for those who live in group settings or need more privacy. In addition to that, it is corded and not waterproof so you are limited on where it can be used. The good news is that it comes with three different interchangeable heads that have two textures each. This combined with the two power levels can create a customized massage.

The Wahl Deluxe is made of two materials, only one is listed as ABS plastic. It is very high grade, durable, and solid. The plastic is very smooth and is non-porous. This toy cannot be sterilized so you should not share it on the genitals unless you trust the person to have a clean bill of health. Plastic is a very safe, food-grade material, that is hypo-allergenic and free of both latex and phthalates. It is rigid and obviously has no flex.

The other material is a bit of a mystery. At first glace and feel it appears to be silicone. I did a flame test to the material and discovered that it does not melt or turn black, but it does smell after being flamed for 5 seconds. It also bounces. So, I've come to the conclusion that it might be a silicone TPR blend of some kind. Whatever it is, it feels of really high quality. It has a tiny bit of flex, but is firm and has some drag. It is not sticky, however. I really like the material.

Neither material has a smell or taste.

The Wahl Deluxe is a wand massager. In some ways it is similar in size and design to the Hitachi. When fully assembled, it is about 11" long. The wand itself is a little shorter because it has three different attachments that can be used on it. It is not meant to be used without an attachment. The wand has a flexible neck about 2" below the attachment. I figured the neck would bend easily, but it so doesn't. This is actually my least favorite part about the wand. Its inability to bend or stay bent makes it harder to use solo. Seriously, it might as well not be "flexible". It's not useful. The handle of the wand is actually oval shaped, 2" thick at the largest part.



The attachments are like thick discs. The discs are about 3 3/4" in diameter. Each one has a center portion of plastic that is 3 1/8" in diameter. This is where one of the two textures is for the make up of each unique disc. The second is on the side made up of the softer material mentioned earlier.

Disc 1: Smooth massage- "Creates a gentle, relaxing massage for all-over general body use. A ring of knobs pinpoints concentrated areas."

Disc 2: Kneading Massage- "Large ridges target deep into tissue. Slotted side surface provides light muscle massage."

Disc 3: Deep Massage- "Long prongs designed to dig deep into muscles. A smooth surface ring provides for a soothing massage.



In the middle of the handle is a sliding bar to power the toy. It has three settings - off, low, and high. A thick and sturdy cord protrudes form the base. It is plenty long and flexible.

This toy is very discreet because of its bulk. Normally bulk makes a toy not discreet. In this case its bulk makes it not look like a sex toy. It totally looks like a massager. I would not worry about leaving it out in the open.

The discs are really easy to change. You slide it on and turn it til it clicks, locking it in place.

The Wahl Deluxe Wand Massager has two speeds I and II. To use the wand, apply your desired attachment, plug it in (away from water it is not waterproof!) and slide the button into the I or II position.

I - is already a very powerful setting. The vibrations are wonderfully rumbly and very deep. If I sit cross legged and place it between my legs, it vibrates my butt, crotch, legs and feet. That's some power! But oddly, it is not too strong for me. It sure sounds like it! The noise level is pretty loud and can be heard through a door easily. Eventually, the vibrations might start to numb the hand if you hold the wand too close to the top. The vibrations even travel into the cord!

II- this level is very intense and is best used for deep tissue massage. It is much too powerful for me to use for orgasm and actually starts to tickle my skin making me want to itch it if the skin is sensitive. I can't even use this level clitorally over clothes! If you need a lot of power, it would be good for you, though. Used on thicker areas like the back, butt, thighs, and upper arms this is a really awesome level of power for relaxing muscles and knots. The noise level is really high which deters me from using it on this level if my partner is trying to study or something.

The Wahl is super easy to care for! Because all the parts that touch you are detachable, they are easy to wipe down with a toy cleaner, wipe, or a soapy wash cloth and warm water.

When choosing lubricants, if you need some, I would pick a water based one. This is due to the mystery material in the maroon rings. Did I mention maroon is my favorite color and one of the reasons I chose this massager? Well, it is.

When storing, unplug even if you turned it off. It all fits back in the box but takes a bit of maneuvering to make it fit right.

The packaging is very informative and discreet. The Wand and all the attachments come in the same box with cardboard dividers. The attachments each come in their own little bubble wrap bag. The box has large images of the product and explains what the different parts do, the benefits of using such a product, and its features. It's a thin cardboard box, so if you are not careful it can get ripped. There are instructions and a warranty/registration information pamphlets. I honestly think this could be a great gift for someone even if the package is nothing special.

At first I was really dissapointed in the non-flexible neck. The lack there of makes this massager a lot harder to use solo. I can use the sides of massager heads to roll along my back and sides, but it is a lot harder to use the flat parts without contorting my body. Because the vibrations travel well and are so intense, it's not as big of an issue, but I was still let down. I prefer disc 1 and 2. I thought disc 2's tri-point top would hurt but it totally doesn't. I can barely feel the points at all. I don't like the 3rd disc. That one can be painful if too much pressure is applied. When you are giving a massage, try not to apply pressure over bones. The nice thing is that you don't need to use lubricant or oil. The massager heads are so smooth that they glide across the skin fairly easily. It is also easy to use on a partner's back. My partner and I enjoy taking turns reveling the strain in each others muscles. My boyfriend especially likes this on his neck and head.

I really enjoy using this to get out knots in my muscles, but I also enjoy using it for masturbation. I put this between my legs while I sit Indian style. I can then sort of bump and grind against the vibrator and hold off until I really want to finish. The orgasm is very intense and often makes my clit pulse for a few minutes. While I am arousing myself and getting closer to orgasm, I don't move the massager at all. I don't even need to pin point the vibration or use a specific disc. If you want a strong vibration toy, this is much better as massages but will be good for intimate pleasure as well.
