Thank God I got it for free! Because IT DOESN'T WORK!!! I like this toy. It's not great, but its unique. I enjoy using it, maybe for that reason alone, but its noisy and abrupt in its transitioning of expansion to contraction. Its not made from the most long-lasting material and it loses power quickly as the batteries drain. At almost $80, it's not going to work for everyone. If it were a more reasonably priced, I'd say everyone should try it.

What I should really say is, don't ever buy this toy, so they are always in stock should I have to replace mine. I absolutely love using this toy. I have tried similar toys and they have not stood up to the abuse that the blue dolphin can take. You can't go wrong with a guaranteed good time.
