Let's start with the top part of the control pad. The 7-function clitoral vibrator. Now I was personally saddened by the strength of this vibe, I really think it could have been stronger but then again I'm a sucker for strong vibrations. Nonetheless the 7 functions are a plus; they are turned on by pushing the 2nd button with the label "BULLET ON-OFF" just underneath it, as you can see, there is 3 oval like windows up at the very top of the control pad above the 7F button, they will light up green when the clitoral vibrator is turned on into its first setting. -Function 3: The highest vibration setting, it's slightly buzzier than the first 2 and the oval
-Function 4: An escalating vibration. Starts off very low and deep and climbs up to the highest vibration setting. The 3 oval windows will light up in a cycle of corresponding colors, green, orange, and red, while in this function.
-Function 5: Is a slow on/off pulse vibe. It seems to be in it's highest clitoral vibration setting and just cycles on an off very quickly, the 3 oval windows will flash green and red while in this function.

For example let's say you went all the way up to speed 3 with the shaft, you would have to hit the off button 3 times in order to turn to the off. I will warn you that when the shaft is on it's very loud, especially in if it's on speed 3. I did a bedroom test and asked my friend if she could hear it outside of my closed bedroom door and she said the thing sounded like a 'jack hammer', even when I put it under a blanket. So as if you're worried someone might hear you when you're using this toy, they will! It's not discrete at all.

Now with all those functions the toy seems very overwhelming, but I promise you once you get the hang of the control pad you're soaring and don't struggle at all with figuring them out. The large variety that the Throbbing hearts offers with its settings is wonderful in my opinion and makes the vibe a worthwhile purchase. However, it does guzzle batteries due to its multitude of functions. So it's in your best interest to pick up some rechargeable ones when you purchase this bad boy.

Being made of TPE means this toy is easily taken care of with some anti-bacterial soap and warm water. The smooth TPE surface makes it easy to wash down and not have to scrub any hidden nooks or crannies. However, due to the material aspect the toy cannot be fully disinfected or boiled, so if you're sharing, use a condom. The toy is also compatible with both silicone and water-based lubricants, so there's no restriction on which lube you can use.
Some issues I have with this toy is that it's a lint magnet. As soon as I pull this purple bad boy out it's already covered in a fuzzy coating.

I would say the box is not discrete in the slightest, so as far as giving as a gift, you might want to make sure it's privately done. The box isn't the best for storage, but if you don't have anywhere else to place the large Throbbing Hearts Erotic, the box will keep it safe.

My experience with this toy was relatively very pleasant. I love the throbbing sensation; it sent me right through the roof. However I personally like my clitoral vibrations strong and didn't find the clitoral vibratory packed enough "omph" for my needs.
