So Im wanting to clean myself out before anal. However, is there a way to do it at home without actually purchasing a kit?

Captivating topic discussions on Anal douche:

Enema Play as an activity into itself. Anyone into that?
I have dated woman who used Enemas to prep for anal. I have dated one girl who enjoyed Enemas as a sex game into itself as well as a health routine...

Finding the best anal douche?
I love anal and what to stay as healthy as possible doing so. I know lots of water and practice help tons, but so does a regular cleaning. I've heard.

Douche
How well do douches work? I was just wondering because I may need this in the future. And are douches only for cleansing or can they give you sexual..

Enemas: Are They Necessary?
Some people view enemas as a necessary precursor to anal play. Others believe that butt stuff is never perfectly clean, so why bother? Photo Credit

enema?
Is it worth having an enema before anal play

Well I only have tried this once but I'll throw it out there. I tried just using a regular store bought douche on my butt. It didn't feel great just b/c of the design of the douche but it was generally effective. I would recommend doing it like 5 hours or so before you plan on doing the deed so that you have time to... dry out... so to speak. But, like I said, I only tried this once so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Using a store bought douche bottle works very well, but be sure and empty out the contents first. Fill it with tap water as close to body temperature as possible (cold water can cause cramping). Coat the tip with a water based lube before inserting. You may need to repeat the process 2-3 times or until what comes out is clear. Also, do this at least 2 hours prior to give your body time to recover. Be sure to dispose of the douche bottle after use.

There are plenty of ways without a kit. You could use a funnel while laying in the bathtub, a turkey baster, you could cut then end off a garden hose, cut the bottom off a plastic bottle. All of which should be sterilized before use, and not used for the intended purpose afterwards.
You could get a water hydration pack and some tube from the hardware store.

You can make your own enema syringe, but do be careful. You need to make sure that the part that is inserted won't hurt you, and you need to make sure that using it doesn't turn into a very unpleasant experience.

The water hydration pack sounds interesting, but for convenience and ease of cleaning I think I'd go for a Tupperware or Rubbermaid container. Get one of about a pint to a quart. A quart will let you do two or three fills before refilling, but you probably shouldn't go bigger unless you're interested in really deep play. The more water you put in the more you disturb your system and the longer it takes to come back out.

From the hardware store plumbing department I'd get a threaded brass fitting to push-on barb adapter as well as the tubing. If you have a rounded, smooth enema tip you can get any type, but if you don't I'd go for a soft tube made of the amber latex or, if you can get it, silicone (but soft is important here - you don't want to put a hole in your rectum). Drill a hole in the Tupperware, screw the barb adapter in, put the tube on, then either put your enema nozzle on the end or round the edges of the "butt end" of the tube so you don't scratch or irritate your anus/rectum.

We have a washlet toilet seat that my wife picked up at Costco back in 2011. It sprays an adjustable stream of water intended to rinse the girly bits or the backside. It has an inline heater to heat the water to a comfortable level and an adjustable water stream which can be adjusted from a gentle rinse to a more powerful spray. When positioned just right it will send a stream of warm water right where the sun don't shine. A quick fill and release a few times has proven quite effective for our playtime preparation. It could not be more convenient. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys anal play or those who are highly sensitive to their personal hygiene.

Honestly, we shower and that is all. We don't use enemas and as long as you don't have to have a B.M. your colon is pretty empty. Your rectum certainly. Enema's may stir things up and make anal sex messier. In decades of anal play, we have never had an "accidental" soiling of his parts (or my fingers, when playing in his tush).

Wouldn't buying a "kit" be cheaper and easier????

Kits can be really cheap. I've gotten disposable ones at drug stores for a few bucks.
