Not really my thing, if for whatever reason I had to CHOOSE a place where I did it, it would probably be on a walk, in the woods or somewhere that there's no people. I just wouldn't feel comfortable interacting with people while having it in.

I think most butt plugs are designed to be used while you're in a relaxed/prone position, and many feel nice when used this way. I'm just not sure how comfortable it would be leaving the plug in and trying to be upright, walking around or driving a car while having one inserted. Of course, if the toy had a flexible shape and was comfortable no matter what you were doing, it would probably be a lot of fun.

I have done this on numerous occasions in the past. I believe I've worn a Tantus Ryder, Aneros Tempo, Njoy Pure Plugs Large and 2.0, Fun Factory Boosty and, just once, a Tantus A-Bomb in public.
I often wear plugs during a typical day to begin with, so it just sort of happens sometimes. It's not really a conscious decision to go outside with a butt plug in.
I never have any issues with mess after the fact, so maybe I'm just lucky. As for someone "catching" me with an anal plug in place... Well, they'd have to at least see me naked, which is not something that I habitually allow.

For maximum security, you might want to look into purchasing a butt plug harness from a BDSM leather shop (I wish Eden sold them!). These are specially designed devices whose sole purpose is to keep one's plug securely in their butt and they work wonderfully.
For the very first time wearing a butt plug in public, I highly recommend only going on small errands or places. For example, don't just go to work plugged all day on your first attempt. Good luck!

I wear them out and about every day......although one must take precautions that it doesn’t pop out and go rolling across Walmart’s floor lol .
