Silicone beads sex toy review
These were a great expansion to my anal collection--they are a great basic anal toy to have, and their construction is much better than a lot of anal beads out there. I'm so glad that I got these!Published: April 17, 2008
Pros:
Flared base, silicone, wonderful design
Cons:
Not quite for the beginner and also probably not much for the anal expert
The Tantus silicone beads arrived to us in pleasant packaging--the clear box that encased it was tantalizing but tasteful. I was quite excited to try these new beads out. I have the X-10 Silicone Beads, which are great for starting out with anal play, but I was looking for something with a bit more kick. And that’s what they delivered—unlike the X-10, which tapers from a small ball to the largest ball with a 1 inch diameter, Tantus’s silicone beads have one beginning bead with a .75 inch diameter immediately followed by spheres of 1 inch diameter. For those of you who are just getting comfortable with anal play, let me assure you that this is a big (and welcome!) difference. Also, these beads have a base, which to me is super important with anal toys—the ring on the X-10 has led to scary times with me that a flared base could have prevented.
Part of what I look for with anal toys is their construction and the material from which they are made. These are made of silicone, which is quite superior to most other toy materials out there. Unlike jelly, it isn’t porous, so it doesn’t collect germs to hang around even after I’ve cleaned it. Silicone is boilable and dishwasher safe [Editor's note; top shelf with no soap!], so it’s easy to completely disinfect, which to me is really important in anal toys, particularly if they’re going to be shared. They’re flexible and soft, unlike plastic, and they warm to body temperature quickly. Tantus is a brand that consistently delivers with toys, too, I’ve noticed—their construction was well-done, with a totally smooth surface.
These beads were absolutely delicious inside my body. The sensation of insertion and removal was something that, unlike a butt plug, happened six times with each bead. Inside, they feel wonderful, each separate ball providing different points of pressure against my anus. I love using a bullet for clitoral stimulation while these beads are being used and removing them as I build to an orgasm. These are also great paired with vaginal penetration. The length of the probe is not as scary as it looks, and it’s something I would recommend for those looking to step up their anal play gradually.
Overall, I think that these are a wonderful addition to my anal toy collection, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to expand from their beginner anal toys.

Advanced Anal Beads - 4 Beads or 6 Beads
-
I've noticed in some of the photos for the Advanced Anal Beads by Tantus that there are 6 beads instead of 4 beads.
Does Tantus still make a 6 beaded version? Are they still being sold at EF?
I bought a set directly from Tantus that has 4 beads (which is what I was expecting) and am interested in getting a set with 6 beads too.
Thanks! -

I will research this and will let you know what I find. -
I think the red version had six beads but I also believe it is no longer available unless you can find a store that still has the old ones in stock. I'm sure Tantus' sales rep that hangs out in here sometimes could give you the complete explanation.

Thank you for viewing Silicone beads advanced – anal toy review page!

This just seems more like a probe with ridges then beads.
It is sort of like a probe. However, while it looks like ridges, the sections are definitely bead-like shapes, and you can really feel them as they're inserted or taken out.
Thanks for the review. I'm glad these worked out well for you and I'm looking for a better quality set of anal beads than the one I have.
Thanks for the review!
Love Tantus! Thank you.
