Fluffy flogger - flogging toy by Ruff doggie styles - review by Kayla

I've been lusting after the Fluffy Flogger for ages. I own so many Ruff Doggie Styles products, and they're all great-priced and amazingly durable, so when I found out this was another one of their products, I was psyched.

The Fluffy Flogger either comes in black/white or pink/black. The fluffy strands are made out of faux fur, and the black strands are suede. The handle itself is made out of braided leather. It also has a hanging loop around the end of the handle to hang the flogger up. The hanging loop is also made out of leather. From bottom to top, the entire flogger is 30 inches long. The handle itself is 9 inches (five and a half "grippable") which leaves the 21 inches to be of the flogger tails themselves. The black suede hangs around the outside sides of the flogger while the faux fur stays in the inside. During use, you really can't tell the difference.

It came wrapped in some regular plastic and obviously smelled of leather when I took it out of the package. A day out of the package and the leather smell was gone.

The flogger itself works out pretty well. It is pretty light in weight. I don't have an exact, but when you're holding the flogger, it just feels easy to wield and easy to swing. It's much more light than Ruff Doggie Styles's other flogger, the "Fulfill-a-Fantasy Flogger". The handle will feel comfortable in your hand and the handle itself will easily cater to male or female hands - it's big enough and comfortable enough. However, the flogger itself is not weighted. Unless you are into advanced BDSM, that aspect will not bother you in the slightest.

When the flogger hits, it will be very gentle. Unlike leather, suede and faux fur will mix together to make a very sensual and unique feeling. If the flogger is used gently, it's a great warm-up toy. The feel will be very light and almost massage-like. If used with hard force, it still will only barely sting. It will make a "snapping" noise in the air if you're rough with the swings as well. This flogger will not draw blood nor leave marks no matter how hard you try. You may give the skin a warm tint, though, but that's about it. This flogger was not meant to cause pain.

You will want to practice your swings on an inanimate object before you decide to move on to using this flogger on real humans. While this flogger is a great one to start with because it's near-impossible to harm someone, it'd still be a good idea to know exactly how this flogger works and how to aim it. Keep your swings near the butt and on the upper back (but not near the spine) for best results. Avoid the lower back, the spine, and all of the extremities because a hard hit with a flogger to one of those areas could actually cause damage to your play partner.

I don't think I would get this anywhere near lubricant if it could be helped. Lubricant tends to mess up faux fur, but if it gets on it, the best way to clean this flogger would be to wipe it down with a damp washcloth and let it out the dry. That's also the best way to clean the suede strips as well. Both the suede and faux fur tails are very delicate, and you should take time to make sure they can air dry. The leather handle is a lot less "picky" about cleaning, though; It'd be fine to wash it down with a cloth covered in warm water and some leather cleaning supplies. Since this product can never really be sterilized, I wouldn't recommend "sharing" this toy if it's going to get near bodily fluids. If it's just going to be on a butt or other not-body-fluid areas, it should be safe to share it.

I completely recommend this flogger to anyone who wants to try some kink - whether they are experienced or a beginner. Because its so gentle, this is a great flogger for beginners. Because this is so gentle, this is a great flogger for advanced players who need a warm-up toy as well. It works great for any person seeking out a new flogger for play.
