Great for light to moderate pain tolerance

I bought this as a first flogger, and it's great for that. My girlfriend has a moderate pain tolerance, and it could give her that without any trouble. You can go anywhere from mild to moderate, though strong impacts won't work well. The colors are also great, since black/white, and black/pink aren't intimidating.

There are a few ways to use it, depending on what sensation you want to go for. If you hold back the suede falls, you get more of a thud. Otherwise, it gives a good mixture of sting and thud.

The flogging part is pretty straightforward -- just hold the tails together, then swing. After about 5 minutes of practice, I could hit where I was aiming at. You can hit pretty much any spot on the body (other than the face), since it's not that powerful.

The craftsmanship was fantastic, and it held up to intensive use. The handle didn't unravel, and the falls have remained attached after quite a lot of intensive play.

The handle is 9" long, and it has an excellent checkerboard leather pattern, complete with a braided knot at the ends. There's a two-tone wrist strap to keep the flogger from falling out of your hands.

The falls are 21" long. There are twenty-five black square-cut suede tails, with ten soft faux fur tails on the inside. The effect can be either stingy or tickling during use, depending on the amount of force used; both can be quite enjoyable.

It's a great toy for a warm up, since it stings without making your partner too sore. It has a good bite, and alternating between light and moderate impact can really get your partner going. You can hit pretty much anything you want safely, and accuracy isn't a problem.

Care and maintenance are straightforward. You can just wipe it off with a damp washcloth if needed. Leaving it hanging from the wrist strap cuts back on the amount of potential tangles.

The packaging is discreet, but it's not worth keeping around. No instructions were included.
