Roses flogger - flogging toy by Ruff doggie styles - review by Sir

Roses on the end of a flogger. Have you ever heard of such a thing? It's the type of pun that just made me need to have this beautiful, well-made, extraordinary flogger. Unique in its own right, with a red handle, nine thin tails, and green leather leaves to accent the piece—who could possibly resist Ruff Doggie Styles' divine Roses Flogger? I certainly couldn't, and didn't.

An interesting take on the cat-of-nine-tails whip, this Roses Flogger has nine leather tails, each adorned with a large red rose on its tip. Both the red of the handle and the red of the roses are the same red hue—a scarlet, bright red. Each of the tails also has a few green leather leaves along its length, the green being similar to a forest green. The colors are all vibrant (they look more muted in their pictures, which they aren't) and sure to turn heads if used in a play party (though I personally feel that it's a more "private" flogger to use).

Entirely made of leather, this flogger came to me smelling beautiful and still, after a couple of months, smells exactly as it did when I first received it. The tails are all braided, and the handle and enforcement pieces are braided as well; even the wrist/hanging strap is braided! It's nice touches like that that really get me off, and really make me feel like I've purchased a product that's well worth its price.

The roses are firmly attached to the flogger, and do not come off or wiggle out place when the flogger's used. Sadly, when I was once using this flogger, a leaf did fall out (I suppose that I was a little too excited with it, right?). So take caution when using this flogger and make sure to be a bit lighter on it. For someone who prefers to give a hard whack with their floggers, they may have trouble using this flogger without making it fall apart.

For size, the flogger is a bit "longer" than what one might be used to, but I personally love its length. To me, this is a normal-sized flogger—not too big, not too short. It's 30" in total length, has a handle of 9", and each of the tails is 21". The little roses are all about 2" in length. Keep in mind that the roses are fairly flat, so they look more like buds as opposed to actual fully bloomed roses.

So, how did I like it? Well, if you can tell by the rating that I gave it, a hell of a lot. I love this flogger. It's so easy to throw and it gives a nice reaction from the person on the receiving end, too (my favorite part, of course). It's an excellent, well-made, beautiful leather flogger and it's unique too. It's one of my personal favorites for giving thuddy smacks, and I also love it because of how interesting it is. The Roses Flogger is a great flogger, and I'm happy that I purchased it.

Note: Do not store the flogger in damp places. I suggest either hanging it up in a closet or on a wall (I hang mine behind my door). If it needs to be cleaned, wipe it with a wet towel and make sure to dry it completely. A leather cleaner is also acceptable.
