This flogger is a dream of an item. It is a great toy that can vary in usage from light beginner's play to heavy flogging. It will be sure to leave your submissive's behind red and bruised if indeed that's you intention for it. This flogger is worth every penny for anyone wondering why the price is so steep. In essence you get what you pay for. With the rose flogger you pay for amazing craftsmanship, unique design and durability combined with aesthetically pleasing colors.

The flogger comes folded in two and it'll take a bit of use to actually get it to stay loose and straight. When you remove it from the packaging the 9 tails will be stuck to one another and you will have to unstick them and bend them around a bit to get the stiffness out. Just like the crease in the whip, unless you bend the tails a bit they will remain as they are and they won't "fall" like they're supposed to.


Now we come to the actual roses part of the flogger. Again, just like the rest of the whip the rose part will be folded flat and will relentlessly fold back into an ugly crinkled shape. You're going to need to take 10 minutes to go through each one of the petals and fold them around. Massage them, so to speak, into their round form. I found that sticking my fingers inside the hole at the center and pulling to opposite sides with two fingers to open the rosebud worked like a charm and had the flogger roses ready and open in no time.



The handle of the whip is red strips of leather that criss-cross over what I imagine is a piece of wood due to the sound it makes when the handle knocks against anything hard. It also has a braided leather strap which is large enough to use as a security strap around your hand. Or you can use it to hang it up if you have something to hang it from. The quality of the colors is vibrant and it's not cheaply painted leather as so many floggers out there are. This is the real deal, ladies and gents.



Each tail is black braided leather that reaches down into the rosebud. There is great attention to detail when it comes to how a rose actually looks. Also, the tails have green leather leaves protruding from them every couple inches. Each one of the tails has 3 green leaves on it making it look somewhat like a rose stem.

After you bend the tails out a bit and fluff out the actual roses at the end of the flogger, you should have no problem maneuvering this toy. It can be stingy, thuddy, light or hard on any area of your sub. Rest be assured that you will have no problem getting this baby to leave the booty of any lucky submissive below you red and stinging.

The only problem anyone might have with this flogger is the handle which can feel a bit small in diameter to those of us with longer fingers or bigger hands. At first I was worried about losing my grip on it. I believed that it was so small it might actually slip right through my hands if I got a bit too aggressive with it. But that was just in my head due to me not being used to the feel of the size. I do have floggers with smaller handles, but I was expecting the handle to be a bit bulkier due to how much bulk accompanies it in the actual tails.

Whips and floggers don't usually get too dirty and are fairly low maintenance. Mine hasn't gotten dirty to this date other than a little spot that looks like glue on the handle which it came with and which refuses to budge. If you do find yourself in need of immediately cleaning this flogger, I would suggest using alcohol free baby wipes or toy wipes and just giving it a wipe down after using it.

If you have an area to hang your whips and floggers, that would go great. This one in particular has a strap that can be used to hang it from the wall. Otherwise, although somewhat bulky, it fits just fine into an underwear drawer under all your clothes. Personally I have a suitcase with all my gear. This is no doubt a great alternative for any of you who have a suitcase lying around and don't want to hang this flogger or put it in your clothes drawers.

The roses flogger came with minimal packaging which could be debatable when it comes to how discreet it is. The packaging itself had nothing on it but you can see the item clearly through the packaging. It's basically a crinkly plastic bag with a knot tied into it and a tag from the manufacturer attached to the actual whip like a price tag would be.

I took a bit longer to write the review for this than I do for most items because I was really curious as to how it would hold up after longer use and daily usage. I've come to find in the past that my opinion on items can change even the day after I write the review. Since this is an item that most people aren't ready to come running at due to the steep price I wanted to make sure it wouldn't fall apart after just a few times using it. I can firmly say this is THE best purchase you'll make on EdenFantasys if you decide to do so.
