These were my first pair of nipple clamps. I am not convinced they are the best type for me but they were a great first experience. I do have a few complaints though.
I'm one of those suckers at stores who ends up putting more in their cart because of the pretty packaged items on display while waiting in line to check out. The packaging on this item is horrible. Actually when it arrived it wasn't even in the package anymore. Perhaps the weight of this item caused it to slip through the plastic. Either way, it didn't impress me and made the item seem cheap.
I LOVE nipple play so I was really turned on by the thought of these. The chain and clamps were pretty heavy. Heavier and larger than I had expected. It took a bit of trouble shooting to figure out how to get these on. The cold metal made my nipples hard and erect so there was no problem there...It just took a bit to maneuver the clamp and tighten at the same time to get it in the best position. There is a design flaw. Untightening is a piece of cake, but tightening can be frustrating. These are not the best designed and the metal piece that moves when adjusted can get stuck if you don't hold it to make sure it slides in the right place.
Once on they look so hot! And the weight feels great. The pressure is even. I don't enjoy that much pain so I didn't really crank these on but did allow a bit of a sting. They stayed on most of the time, but as soon as they are touched even slightly they seemed to lose grip. There were a few times that I was sitting still and they some how managed to slip off. However, when they did stay on they felt amazing especially if the metal was still cold. It was very arousing!
If you want to have sex with nipple clamps on, I would say to choose something else since they could fall off a lot and delay your fun. If you just like the feeling and look for your own enjoyment then these are great. I have the most average sized nipples that you can find. I would imagine that if you have small ones these would not work well at all.

Experience
Tried to use these with someone with much smaller nipples, even worse of a fail. These must be best suited for someone with not only thick nipples, but protruding ones as well.

I have had a lot of fun with these lately. I used them with a partner which made for great nipple play!

You didn't seem to get as much out of the clamps as Red, though after her review these are the top of my EF purchase list for my wife.
With the slippage you mention, I think the Clover type clamp may be what you want.

They were on pretty tight...cause they were hurting a bit. But like I said, I don't enjoy pain so I did not tighten them TOO much. It actually makes me cringe thinking about it. I would imagine that they would stay on better.
Heh I likes me some nipple play as well and I like it on the rougher side...might have to give these lovely little torture devices a test drive
