Pretty and Playful: Rainbow Mega Nubby

If you're looking for the easy to clean features of a glass toy without the smooth texture, then this is just what you are searching for! The Rainbow Mega Nubby is somewhat slim at 1 1/8", but features colorful nubs from tip to tip. At first, these nubs can seem intimidating, but they add to the fun of using this toy. The length of this toy is 7", which is another reason why it would be perfect from beginner to most experienced.
The best feature of this toy is that since it is made of glass, it can be heated up or cooled down simply by placing it in a bowl of water at the temperature of your choice. It is not recommended that you immediately go from one temperature extreme from the other. It is made of Pyrex glass. However, it could still cause fractures or cracks if you get too extreme with the temperature differences.
This toy is easy to clean, as well. You can wash it any number of ways, from using a toy cleaner that can be found here on this website (I recommend the Doc Johnson Anti-bacterial Toy Cleaner), to soap and warm water, and even can be stuck in the dishwasher. You can use bleach with this product as well, but be sure to rinse very well. You can let this toy air dry or wipe it off with a soft, dry cloth.
When using this toy, you should note the way that you use it will be different from using other toys. Since it is glass, it is stiff and doesn't move the way a silicone toy might. Insert slowly and be careful of the angle you use it at. In my experience, I found that I needed to lie back, with my back slightly propped up on pillows to be able to insert this toy at an angle that was comfortable for me. Otherwise, I just hit my pubic bone and it was uncomfortable. Also, I recommend using lube with this toy if you are not the wettest of the wet. It will make the use a lot more comfortable and a lot more fun. You can use any type of lubricant with this toy. And note that this toy comes with a sample packet of Wet lubricant and comes in a plushy, purple, drawstring pouch that can protect it from minor falls and bumps.

This toy by far is still my only glass dildo, but it is still one of my favorites. I only bust it out when I want some hard core solo play (which, in all honesty, isn't very often since I have my lady to please me, but still a go-to for hard core), but it's without a doubt a toy that will stay in my collection until either I die, or it somehow magically breaks.
Heat it up, cool it down, use it right out of storage (clean, of course!). This is a great toy for a beginner or an advanced user. :) Don't let those colorful nubbies scare you away.

Glass dildos are great! They all get really slick with lube, can be warmed (or cooled) in water, and are totally easy to clean. Texture wise there are all sorts of options, like the nubby you pointed out, or ridged, or smooth varieties. What works best depends probably more on your personal preferences than any one design factor.
I would say that if you like softer and more bendable materials generally you may find glass to be somewhat of a letdown, but if you like firm pressure glass is definitely where it's at.
We have a couple of glass toys (a plug and a few dildos) and really like all of them, not too mention they tend to be a little more fun to look at. Personally we like a mix of glass and silicone toys, because they each have things they are better at, but if you are curious about trying a glass toy out for the first time, definitely go for it. You will probably like it.

I haven't tried that specific glass toy, but I have tried glass toys with "nubs" on them. Honestly, they didn't hurt me in the least -- but, the jelly ones do. I don't understand it.
I LOVE glass though. -
Maybe if you move around and find it's too big, but in themselves, they wouldn't generally hurt (in my exp) :)

So I don't know much on the topic, but putting anything made of glass inside my body sounds a little scary. Do glass toys ever break?

Not usually, most glass toys are made of a solid piece of Borosilicate glass like pyrex. They shouldn't break unless you drop them and even then they may not break the first time they fall.
You should check them for chips before using them, just in case. -
Glass is one of the safest materials you can get, next to stainless steel and silicone. You can boil it and even throw some into the dishwasher! They'll break if you drop them real hard or throw them (especially the cheaper ones), or if you put it in the oven and then in a bowl of cold water, but not inside you!

One is Don Wands and the other is SSA glass...that's about it.
