As with any dildo the Amazing Swirls double ended glass dildo by SSA Glass can be used alone or with a partner. However, keep in mind that this toy is made of glass and is much harder than other toys and it offers no give. If using this dildo with a partner use extra caution and be sure to be gentle. Hard thrusting and pounding can be painful and bruise the cervix. A bruised cervix means pain for her, and most likely a hiatus from sex for a while for him. So, do everyone a favor and enjoy this toy with self control.

Since glass is so hard and unyielding, a beginner or someone who prefers softer toys might not appreciate what this toy has to offer. If you enjoy a full feeling with some stretch then this deserves a look.

Since there is no flared base or stop of any kind I don't recommend this for anal use. Vaginally, in my opinion, it is great. I expected that this toy would be great for a good hefty feel and full feeling, and that is what I got.

The glass of this dildo is very nice. The density and heaviness of a glass toy appeals to me, and this one was no different. There was no smell or taste to speak of.

The texture is the raised swirl design all around the shaft of the dildo. The swirls are very prominent when felt with my hand or fingers, though they are not actually raised much off the base of the shaft. The swirls melt into the main shaft of the dildo without leaving any type of seam. Internally the texture is a little bit more subtle, though still noticeable. If you are extra sensitive to texture keep that in mind. While it is subtle and not overwhelming it is still texture nonetheless.

The head of this dildo is smooth and not textured.

The design of the Amazing Swirls dildo is, well, amazing. The red, yellow and blue raised swirls are beautiful. That is something that really draws me to glass toys initially. They can be so gorgeous and look like pieces of art.

It is still a bit phallic in looks, since it has a bulbed head. Because of that it really is not very discreet in design. The bulb does give a slight popping sensation upon insertion, but it is not uncomfortable.



It is about 8 1/4 inches long with an insertable length of about 6 1/2 inches. The diameter is about 1 3/8 inches - and remember there is no give to the material, so it will feel that large or even larger when inserted. (My measurements were a tad different than those listed on the product page, that is why I said "about 8 1/4 inches". Since glass is hand blown each piece will vary a bit on measurements.)

As with just about any toy, this design might take you a bit of time to discover how it works best for you. It is heavier than a regular silicone or plastic dildo, so that could take some getting used to as well.

If you know what to expect with a glass toy then this won't be a surprise. I love glass and the way it feels, some do not care for glass because it is hard and unyielding. In my opinion, the unyielding nature of the material is what makes it so great. The raised swirls on this one are an added subtle pleasure. The performance of the Amazing Swirls dildo was exactly what I expected from a glass toy.

The bulbed head was great for g-spot stimulation and paired with a clitoral vibe it produces great orgasms. It does take some manipulating to figure out how it works best with your anatomy, but once you figure it out it is easy to use.

Pyrex Glass is very easy to take care of. It is nonporous so it can be cleaned in a snap by using soap and water or toy cleaner. You can also put it on the top rack of your dishwasher.

Silicone, water and oil-based lubes are all compatible with glass.

Storage is easy in the provided pouch in your toy box.

This toy came wrapped in bubble wrap and placed inside a red velvety pouch. No instructions were included.

This is only my second glass toy, but I am pretty hooked. Who knew glass could be such fun? I didn't, but I'm a believer now.
