I've come to adore the cold (or warm!), hard feel of glass. Feeling the heavy weight sitting in my hands sends delicious shivers down my spine. But recently I realized something, my small glass collection was lacking any sort of toys specializing in the g-spot. None of mine had that wonderful curve that promised to send me to the stars or, at the very least, the moon. If you've read any of my prior reviews I make it pretty well-known that I love texture, so the Swirled Blue Dildo seemed like a perfect match. Naturally, I was right. The ridged shaft is moderately intense so if you aren't a fan of a lot of texture or you're curious but have no idea if you like texture or not then a different, smoother toy might be a better choice.

The curve of harder materials is absolutely wonderful. It provides a bit more pressure when pressed against your body and different sensations than the squishier counterparts that offer some give. The bulbous head (I really like saying that.) is absolutely wonderful once it finds your g-spot. One of the things to keep in mind though is that the 1 1/2" diameter can feel larger with harder materials like glass.

I will neither advocate nor oppose using this anally. Glass and lube tends to make a slippery combination and the base of this, although flared, is not very large. If you choose to use this anally be very careful and make sure to maintain a good grip on the base to spare yourself any embarrassing ER trips.

Glass is a great choice as far as safety concerns go. It cleans easily and you can sterilize it in a multitude of ways, ranging from the dishwasher, boiling, and a 10% bleach solution. Therefore, with proper sterilization, you can pass it along for a partner to try out or you can switch entrances. If you don't take these measures but still want to share or use anally then a condom is the only way to play safely. Glass also gets Eden's highest safety rating since it is not porous so nothing can lurk inside of your toy. However, due to the intense texture nasty things can lurk in the ridges. A bit of extra care needs to be taken so that they are properly cleaned. A Q-Tip works nicely for this purpose.

Glass is also compatible with any type of lubricant. In fact, as an added bonus it comes with a free sample of Wet Platinum lube to get you started. When storing glass toys be sure to store them in something so that they do not break. This dildo comes with a VERY well-padded light blue pouch so unless you're doing something really strange with it you should be able to easily keep your new toy out of harm's way. Pyrex glass is the stuff that a lot of kitchen items are made out of, the glass measuring cups are typically made out of it. It's difficult to break. However, should you decided to throw it out your third story window and onto the concrete below, it will break in large pieces rather than shatter.

The other super-benefit of glass is its ability to be used for temperature play. You can heat it or cool it to mix things up a bit. Putting it in the microwave is not recommended, but a dish of hot water will work great. Just test it before insertion. You can also pop in in the fridge or put it in a dish of icy water for a bit.
