I have had the Rainbow Mega Nubby on my wish list for years, but I finally broke down and ordered it. I love glass toys and I was sure this would be an instant hit, I was right!
The Rainbow Mega Nubby by Don Wands is made of pyrex borosilicate glass making it very strong and extremely damage resistant. This isn't a toy you will have to worry about shattering inside of you or cracking under the strain of temperature play. Pyrex is made to be taken from freezer to oven to table so this little baby can handle moderately rough treatment.
The wand is 7.25 inches in total length and is a double sided probe with multi colored nubs of glass around the entire toy from top to bottom. The nubs are blue, red, green and yellow and make the toy extremely visually appealing. They are smooth to the touch and aren't raised enough that they cause discomfort during vaginal thrusting. Care should be taken to avoid thrusting this toy too vigorously as it is completely rigid and has no give what so ever. It isn't a terribly girth-y toy being only 3.5 inches in circumference making it less intimidating to newer toy users.
The nubs can be felt easily when thrust inside the vagina and also feel pretty darn good slid over the clitoris. The toy is pretty slick to begin with but a few drops of any type lube you prefer makes it a treat, be warned though it gets VERY slippery when lubed up and the nubs don't help as much as you would think. For this reason I recommend not using it in the shower, it's simply too easy to drop and possibly shatter.
The wand works wonders during a massage run over the skin or rolled under the palms across the shoulders, buttocks, legs and lower back. It is fairly painful if the wand is rolled over the shin bone but carefully dragged along side the shin bone can be very relaxing. For tired, achy feet you can use a bit of foot lotion and then roll the foot over the wand.
Cleaning is as simple as a hot water and mild soap wash. Glass is 100% non-porous and can be boiled, wiped down with a 10% bleach and water solution, wiped with a commercial toy wipe or spritzed with an anti-bacterial toy cleaning solution.
The Mega Nubby can be shared with a partner relatively safely as long as you clean it before handing it over. Be advised that this toy doesn't have a flared base and gets extremely slippery when lubed and as such is a very poor choice for anal insertion.

Experience
While this toy doesn't have all the bells and whistles of other probes it is a great toy for slowly thrusting. It doesn't have an angled head for easy g spotting and it has not ability to bend the toy but if you have an easily accessible G spot it can be a pleasure.

This is one of the most cheerful glass dildos I own. The colors are still beautiful and the lenght and girth of this toy is perfect for darn near everyone. The nubs aren't painful with careful thrusting and the way any fluids just slide right off in warm soapy water is amazing.
I have dropped the toy several times in the sink and bathtub and there are, to date, no cracks or chips to be found.
This is a toy you could display as fine art and not get any argument from visiters to your home.

Glass dildos are great! They all get really slick with lube, can be warmed (or cooled) in water, and are totally easy to clean. Texture wise there are all sorts of options, like the nubby you pointed out, or ridged, or smooth varieties. What works best depends probably more on your personal preferences than any one design factor.
I would say that if you like softer and more bendable materials generally you may find glass to be somewhat of a letdown, but if you like firm pressure glass is definitely where it's at.
We have a couple of glass toys (a plug and a few dildos) and really like all of them, not too mention they tend to be a little more fun to look at. Personally we like a mix of glass and silicone toys, because they each have things they are better at, but if you are curious about trying a glass toy out for the first time, definitely go for it. You will probably like it.

I haven't tried that specific glass toy, but I have tried glass toys with "nubs" on them. Honestly, they didn't hurt me in the least -- but, the jelly ones do. I don't understand it.
I LOVE glass though. -
Maybe if you move around and find it's too big, but in themselves, they wouldn't generally hurt (in my exp) :)

Not usually, most glass toys are made of a solid piece of Borosilicate glass like pyrex. They shouldn't break unless you drop them and even then they may not break the first time they fall.
You should check them for chips before using them, just in case. -
Glass is one of the safest materials you can get, next to stainless steel and silicone. You can boil it and even throw some into the dishwasher! They'll break if you drop them real hard or throw them (especially the cheaper ones), or if you put it in the oven and then in a bowl of cold water, but not inside you!

One is Don Wands and the other is SSA glass...that's about it.
