SinFive Akmeo silicone - g-spot vibrator by SINFIVE - review by PassionQT

I was looking for a vibe like no other, something that really screamed "Pick me! Pick me!". Then I came across the SinFive Akmeo Silicone in raspberry, which was hollering at me to disregard its price tag and take it for a spin, or rather a dive in this case. Since my luck with G-spot vibes seemed to be running out, I figured "what the heck!", I'd splurge on this top-of-the-line treat to see if it really could outperform the others I've owned so far. Any fan of G-spot stimulation or someone looking for a thick toy for penetration can benefit from owning an Akmeo, whether to use alone or with a partner.

I don't have extensive toy knowledge (yet), but I'm getting there! And let me tell you that this is one of the most unique ones I've seen to date, because on top of all the other appealing properties attributed to silicone, this particular toy also has an anti-bacterial property built right in! Could it get any safer? Not to mention that it naturally repels dirt and bacteria, is long-lasting, and non-porous. Only the bottom handle portion is made of plastic, hence why the toy receives an 8/10 on the safety scale, but that portion isn't meant to be inserted anyhow. Silicone is flexible and compresses to the touch, which makes this toy comfortable to use. It can also be warmed up by placing it under warm water, as it will retain some of the heat.

With the exception of the control buttons which are slightly raised, the overall texture is smooth with a lot of drag. Whereas all of my other silicone toys have a slightly shiny, polished finish, the Akmeo has a velvety, matte finish which provides a good amount of drag when you pull an unlubricated finger across the surface. For this reason, and because it is fairly thick, you may want to use a substantial amount of lubrication. I had to re-apply a few drops every now and then.

There's no smell or taste either to this toy, another added benefit of silicone, so feel free to practice your oral skills on it!

The design of the Akmeo is simplistic and futuristic, with clean lines and no seams. Void of any additional visual "bling", it looks basic; however it's far from that! There's a band of white plastic which divides the silicone shaft from the handle and is stamped with the SinFive logo. Most of this toy is insertable and somewhat bendable. It is also waterproof, but I haven't tested it in water since I don't use my toys in wet environments, other than my moist pussy.

From tip to base, it measures 8 inches total in length, with the top tapering off for the last 2.5 inches into a nicely rounded, curved tip for G-spot stimulation. That gives the user 6.5 inches of fun! The diameter is only 1.5 inches, which I consider somewhat average, but add to that the drag of the toy and it will feel deceptively thicker, which is why a beginner may not enjoy this one as much.

Here is where the Akmeo is a real winner! I thought the functions were never going to stop, they just kept going! Honestly, I didn't read the instruction manual beforehand, as I should have, because I was so eager to try it out, so I had no idea how to turn it off!

The control buttons are ingeniously built in to the lower part of the shaft itself, hardly noticeable because they are part of the silicone itself, same color, just protruding slightly, kind of like Braille. Again, because I didn't read the manual at first, it took me a bit longer to activate it. There's a "-" and a "+" sign just above the white ring on the tip side, so if you were to be using the toy as intended for the g-spot, the controls will be topside, pointing toward the ceiling. It's very difficult, if not impossible, to accidentally change speeds.

Speaking of speeds, I wasn't expecting so many options, but I counted nine: 6 increasing levels of steady vibration followed by 3 varied patterns. You click the "+" sign to cycle through all of them, then the "-" sign to drop back down to the lowest vibration. It can be turned off by pressing the "-" and holding it for a few seconds. Two AA batteries give this toy plenty of power and are inserted by twisting off the lower colored plastic portion.

It's also a relatively quiet toy on the highest speed, which is always a plus!

In the box is a multi-language instruction booklet which describes how to operate and care for the toy. It should be cleaned before and after every use. So long as you clean it well after playtime in warm water and soap, it shouldn't need more than a spritz of an adult toy cleaner before playtime, unless you want to warm it up under the faucet first. Because it is anti-microbial, the toy doesn't need to be sanitized nor should it be placed in the dishwasher.

The recommended lubrication is water-based only. As I noted earlier, this material has a lots of drag, so I had to apply extra lube to cut down on the friction.

The tasteful white paper box it comes in could be used as a storage method, but it is a bit bulky. I purchased this satin lined toy pouch to keep mine safe and lint free. It also has an extra layer of padding to it should you drop the toy and makes it discreet for take-along fun.

The packaging does include a warranty registration card, but since it's a German-made toy, it has to be mailed to Germany. I did check the SinFive website to see if there was an option to register online, but I couldn't find it and most of the site's FAQ's were in German. There's another brochure in the box about SinFive products, all in German though. Only the instruction manual is multi-lingual.

I would certainly consider purchasing another toy from the SinFive line. From what the Akmeo has shown me, SinFive puts a lot of thought in to engineering well-made, solid toys that will last a long time with proper care. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it didn't work that well on my g-spot because I don't generally cum often from that type of orgasm; however, keep in mind that everyone's anatomy is different and some are more sensitive to g-spot orgasms, so it may work wonders for you! All other starts are rightfully deserved.

The Akmeo performed better for me as a regular vibrator as opposed to a g-spot stimulator, perhaps due to the anatomy of my body. I actually think that the g-spot tip is a bit too small and could be wider to cover the whole area. I did like that if I pushed hard on my g-spot or thrusted deep and hard on my cervix, that the toy didn't hurt me.
