A reliable, effective toy...but I'm not sure it's worth $150.

In general, this is a solid toy. It's made from great materials, it's nice to look at, and it has a variety of pleasurable uses. Also, the vibrations range from light to very strong (at least in the bulbous end.) I appreciate the rechargeability and long battery life.
But I don't think it's worth the price tag. A little more thought would be appreciated as far as the design is concerned--the pokey clit-arm is just not very pleasurable. Also, I would prefer some interesting vibrational patterns.

Use

This is my current go-to vibrator. I love the bright color of it, and it's totally versatile. It can be used to penetrate the vagina or anus (the clit-stimulator nub keeps it from going too far into the anus!) For male-bodied people, this toy can be used anally with the "clit stimulator" pressed into the perineum for some great-feeling external prostate massage.

The Vr3 also feels great used externally. I generally use the Vr3 on my clit, though I use the larger bulbed end rather than the small clit stimulator. The intensity of vibrations in the "insertable" part is far better than those created by the clit stimulator, so I recommend flipping it around to use that way!

Last night, my partner and I had a wonderful time with this toy. After he rubbed my clit with his fingers for a little while, he turned on the Vr3 and inserted it into my vagina, but turned upside down. This way, the clitoral stimulator was turned into an anal stimulator. While he was using this toy inside me, he simultaneously started giving me oral sex. The combination was actually too much to handle at once, so I had to have him turn the vibration on the vibrator all the way down! Definitely a night I'll remember.

Material / Texture

I love this toy's design, from an aesthetic perspective. It's made from soft, supple, deep fuchsia, 100% silicone material. With a little lube, it is absolutely silky smooth--without lube, it's prone to snagging on flesh in a dry, uncomfortable way (if you're stroking with it.)

It's somewhat flexible, which gives it a pleasant pivotability, if you're using the bulbed end for external stimulation. This was handy for nipple stimulation. I really enjoyed having the thick end pressed into my nipple, then wiggled around in circles so that the point of the toy stayed in place, but it moved in massaging motions.

A single seam runs lengthwise all around the toy, but it's not very noticeable unless you're looking for it. It has no smell.

One downside is that it is prone to attract lint, hairs, etc. Give it a rinse before you play!

Design / Shape / Size

This is one place where I feel like this toy fell short--its design.

The bulbed, "insertable" end works fairly well--when it's used vaginally, it provides a wonderful feeling of "fullness," though I would say I'd prefer if it curved up rather than curving slightly downward after the bulge.

Alas, here's the issue. The insertable part is just a little too short, at least for my body. Once you've got the wide part inside of your vagina to a comfortable degree (that is, not half-out), the clit stimulator clocks in somewhere just south of my clitoris. In order to reach my clit with the stimulator, I need to bend the small arm back, and kind of push my clit under it. If both "arms" of the toy were longer, this would be much easier and more pleasurable.

Also, the clit stimulator is, well, too small. It feels rather like having someone rub a single fingertip on your clitoris, rather than a couple of fingertips, a tongue, a pelvic bone, etc. This might work wonderfully for someone, but it just makes me feel like I'm being fingered by someone who doesn't know what they're doing (I thought I'd left those days behind!) Coupled with how much I have to bend the arm to cover my clit in the first place, this single-finger-like stimulation feels like I'm getting prodded in the clit. Weird.

Functions / Performance / Controls

There are two "vibrators" inside this toy. One is located inside the bulge of the "insertable" portion of the toy. The other is located inside the clit stimulator. Each motor has its own button, located near the top of the toy. Controls are very simple to use--press the button to turn it on, press on it and hold it down to increase the speed. Press again, and the vibration turns off. Nothing too fancy, really.

For this kind of money, I would have preferred a bit more variety in the vibrator functions. Perhaps some cool programmed patterns?

One problem I experienced was that the clit stimulator's vibration (probably because it's so small and pointed) is a really high, buzzy kind of stimulation. I need deep, rumbling vibrations on my clitoris--but people who prefer more "treble" in their vibrator might really dig it.

This toy IS pleasantly quiet, even on its highest settings. This is something that gives it high marks in my book. I live in an apartment-style dorm with thin walls, so I appreciate quiet toys.

This toy comes with a little wall charger, and you just plug it directly into the base of the toy and wait a few hours. It took about 6 hours to charge fully when I first bought it. I'm not really sure how long it takes now, I just plug it in when I go to bed and unplug it in the morning.

It's advertised as being waterproof, yet I'm not sure I would actually submerge it. You charge it by simply pushing the plug through a tiny hole in the stretchy silicone at the end. However, there's nothing to cover that little hole, and I'm a little too paranoid about ruining the toy to see if it "self-seals" or not. I have used it extensively in the shower (under running water) and it works great!

One thing I disliked is that it doesn't "wind down" in power like a battery-operated toy, when it runs out of juice. It'll be working pretty well, and then when it runs out of power it just shuts off. No decrease in power was noticed, and it didn't buzz out, but it simply turned off and would not come back on. I was left feeling very frustrated in the shower one morning! But after a charge of a few hours, it was back to perfect function. This has happened twice, so I don't think it's a malfunction, but simply how it reacts when it runs low on power. Not really a problem, per se, but it'd be nice to have some warning that it's about to quit.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is silicone, so it's super-easy to clean effectively. I used my toy while I was in the early stages of a yeast infection, and I was worried about reinfecting myself. But I gave it a good scrub with antibacterial soap and then soaked it in a 10:1 water/bleach solution to sterilize it--yes, you can actually sterilize a silicone toy! Do not try to boil this toy, though, or you may damage the internal electronics.

For regular clean-up, just rinse the toy with some soap and water. If you're going to be sharing with someone else, I'd recommend throwing a condom on it for some extra safety and ease-of-cleaning.

After it's clean, let it air-dry. Towel-lint will stick to the soft silicone. The toy came with a nice little drawstring pouch, but I found that it got linty in there anyway. I put it in a ziploc bag to keep it lint-free.

This toy feels great with lube, but stick to water-based only! Silicone-based lube will degrade or melt it! EF has a great selection of water based lubes here!

Packaging

The toy came in a fancy box, though the design and branding looked very...1990s-inspired. As if Virginia Slims made a vibrator. (Ew.) I actually used the box for storage for a while, until I accidentally squashed it. There's no plastic in the packaging, which makes my eco-friendly heart happy, and you can recycle it with mixed-paper recycling.

The toy also came with a little fabric drawstring bag, made from some kind of synthetic polyester-like fabric. It has JOPEN in big letters, but otherwise is pretty discreet-looking.

An informative little info-booklet was included in the packaging. Overall, I think this toy was packaged tastefully--no orgasming porn stars, no neon colors.

Follow-up commentary
I have enjoyed this toy pretty consistently for about 10 months, but I went to turn it on about 3 weeks ago, only to find out that the "big" motor, that is, the part inside the bulbed end seems to have quit. No matter how long I charge the toy, the button to turn on the vibration for this part just doesn't do anything. Maddening, because that was the end of the toy I vastly preferred.

What's more is that the supple and seamless silicone coating that I so loved about the toy makes it impossible to open up and inspect the inner workings for possible repair without seriously damaging or destroying the toy.

It was never treated with any heavy duress, and was only used maybe twice a week. You would think that such a pricey toy would live longer! My humble Layaspot lived for two years! Live and learn, I suppose.
