Purchasing an expensive and, in this case, diminutive little toy may give pause. A number of great reviews by some top EF reviewers provide an excellent way to check if the We-Vibe is right for you. I thought I'd add a male perspective, as this is a joint-custody device.

This was the first sex toy I purchased. As a dual-use vibrator designed to be used for 'regular' fucking, it seemed an ideal choice to start introducing toys into a long and enjoyable pairing. My wife giggled when I first brought it out, and began to inspect and manipulate it playfully.

The We-Vibe is quite small, not much different in size and thickness than if you hold your thumb and index finger apart to show someone what an inch or two looks like. If you start at the thumb-tip and trace around the c-shape to your index finger-tip, it will give you a pretty good idea of the size and shape. The We-Vibe is a pair of vibrating motors where your thumb and index finger pads would be, connected by thin wires and all encased in a purple medical grade silicone. The silicone is a bit of a dust magnet, and requires careful cleaning, but comes with a strong deep purple snap case which will help keep it dust and hair free. (The case might also keep the charging cord, but I find it difficult to keep both in at the same time.)

The top quality silicone makes post-play cleaning a snap - just wash with soap and water, a toy wipe, anti-bacterial soap or even a wash with a 10% bleach solution or clorox wipe.

There are two vibrating speeds - a slow and a double-time. Neither are going to move furniture, but they are effective and quiet. The We-Vibe design charges from a wall charger instead of using batteries, and here is something that is quite important - READ the instructions. Once you learn how to turn on and select the speeds, and find the little dimple near the control where the charging cord is inserted, it seems easy. But the first time you try both, unless you've read and re-read the little manual, it can be a bit frustratingly unclear.

The slightly larger pad (where the controls and charge dimple are) is designed to nestle up in the upper labia and against the clit. The smaller pad is inserted into the pooch and clamps gently near or upon the g-spot. It is unobtrusive, and does sit and snuggle as advertised.

The We-Vibe is small and, as it usually comes out after a good amount of previous play, lubrication isn't an issue. But a small amount of water-based lube might be in order for tighter or less damp situations. The profile is generally thin enough to be virtually unnoticeable, at least for us.

(I've noticed some unhappy comments about the size making insertion impossible or uncomfortable, so know your bodies and clearances. I believe if you can insert and hook a finger up comfortably between your dick and towards your partner's g-spot, then you'll be fine.)

The vibrations inside your partner's vagina are amusing and diverting, but more of a spice to the dish rather than main ingredient. It is different and somewhat disorienting, feeling that hum deeper inside, especially if your point of comparison is a vibrating cock-ring. The external clit motor can be felt on your pubic bone if you are stroking deeply and slowly, otherwise it is more (gentle) noise than sensation. And while pleasant in face to face positions, I found that entry from behind and on the side provides the most noticeable effects. Orgasms in these positions, especially if my wife's legs are squeezed together, are somewhat alien, lengthy shocks, as the deep vibrations in this very sensitive state are not what one expects. But wow, what a treat.

My wife's report is similar, in that the We-Vibe isn't going to send her convulsing by itself with either the clit or g-spot pads...but that added to the game heightens, rather than induces. Luckily we have little adjusting of the We-Vibe to do, apart from very occasionally straightening or re-tucking the external pad...though if particularly wet it has squirted out if I've withdrawn.

All in all, an excellent shared investment and toy, and one we still reach for and keep charged.
