K-Y yours and mine - lubricant discontinued by K-Y Brand - review by JackLynn

I remember when this product came on the market. It was in commercials. It was in all the mainstream stores. Walmart even had a nice end-cap set up to display this product to everyone who walked by. Yours and Mine was everywhere.

At first I was curious, as any man would be. I thought, "Hmmmmmm... we have to try this!" One night, I decided to purchase this lubricant and give it a shot. I even went so far as to surprise the Mrs. with it. I got everything set up. Nice music. Candle lights. Etc. Etc. Etc. The mood was perfect. We were ready to have a night of fun.

When the time came to introduce Yours and Mine to the marital bed, there was a sense of excitement in the air. We wondered what it was going to feel like. We wondered if it was worth the money. We were ready to give it a try and that is what we did.

First, we read the directions (actually, we read the directions earlier. No, we didn't stop right in the middle and say, "Hey, let's read the directions first."). The directions were simple, "when the time is right, apply to your partner's intimate areas." She was suppose to apply mine, and I was to apply hers. This was a process we followed through with, and I have to say that it was interesting. Of course, she got her's applied first. I waited.

Right away, about one minute after applying and rubbing it into her "intimate" areas, she started to feel the lubricant begin to tingle. I can remember her saying one word, "interesting". When it was my turn to have mine applied, I was (and still am) unsure as to how it felt. I mean, just having a beautiful woman, as my wife is, caress me and rub me is all that I need. However, there was a little "interesting" feeling going on with me as well. We couldn't wait to get the two chemicals connected.

Now, I want to take a moment and mention the design of the bottles. I couldn't help but to think of the movie "Die Hard with a Vengeance." In this movie there is this explosive that is two separate chemicals. Alone each chemical bears no danger. However, when mixed together a dangerous chemical reaction takes place, and a huge explosion is set off. As for Yours and Mine, the same principle didn't apply. There was no huge explosion once the chemicals mixed together. At least, that is what I thought. Her on the other hand... well she came pretty hard.

It can be safe for me to say that even thought this product caught my eye and wound up in our marital bed, it didn't live up to the hype. Sure, the bottle it came in is pretty neet. Just take a look at the photo and you'll understand. And yes, the rubbing in of the lubricant felt nice as well. However, in the long run, I was more turned on by how it made her feel than what it may have done to me. Really, that is all that I needed.

A couple things about this product:

1. The bottles are neatly designed. However, there could be a way to get them to stand up that would make them better.
2. The amount needed to elicit a reaction was minimal. You didn't have to pour the whole bottle into your hand. A little dab went a long way.
3. The application process was fun, exciting, and "interesting".

The only other thing that I thought was lacking with this product was the fact that it is not an "edible" product. We are a big "oral" couple. It would have been nice to have a lubricant that was interchangeable with some other forms of sex. Let's just say that when applied to the face and mouth, an "interesting" feeling takes place there as well.

If you are thinking about buying this product, maybe wait until it is on sale or even look into maybe getting a small sample. As with any product of this nature, you never know what you are getting into until you get the chance to try it out. If the expectations are not met, then you will have a package of this stuff laying around and hardly ever getting used.
