Shiny G ~ Not For Me

I wouldn't purchase this item for G-spot stimulation. It's not very "insertable-friendly". It's hard to work into just the right angle to get any enjoyment from.
Published:
Pros
Low price. Can be used as a clitoral vibrator.
Cons
Lacquered coat comes off when cleaned. Too thin. Poked me. Head too small.

Use

I see where Shaki Toys was going the Shiny G and their little detachable cock ring, but they should have just kept on going, because this is just not a great toy. It claims to be a great starter toy for those new to the G-spot, but I wouldn't waste my money on this guy. While anyone can use it, beginners and even those more experienced, I'm not sure how many people will get enjoyment out of it. It's tiny little tip just seemed to jab at me. I had a hard time getting it focused on my G-spot.

I think it would make a great toy for a gag gift or a fun showing at a bachelor or bachelorette party.

Material / Texture

The Shiny G is made of plastic. It's non-porous and phthalate-free. It's firm, not bendable at all, and smooth. It has some kind of shiny lacquer coating over it that they claim will transfer vibrations very well, however, I don't see how that coating does anything.

The toy doesn't have a smell or taste and neither does the tiny little jelly cock ring that comes with it. The cock ring is very stretchy but not very sticky.

Design / Shape / Size

As I said before, Shaki Toys could have done better than Shiny G. The controls are located at the bottom of the toy, followed by a thin body which curves gently at the tip into a small point. It's weight is .2 lbs, diameter is 5/8 inches, circumference is 2 1/4 inches, has an insertable length of 6 1/4 inches, and a total length of 7 1/4 inches.

The instructions say "Do not remove noise reducing paper tube from battery compartment." I didn't want any paper in there in case anything caught fire, so I took mine out and it didn't seem to change anything. It takes two AAA batteries and comes in Pearl Pink and Purple. I got Pink.

The cock ring is pink too, matches my vibrator, it's not quite an inch tall. I got mine to stretch out to almost 3 inches and it has these three large bumps on the outside of it. I have no clue how that was supposed to help because when that skinny little curved head was poking up inside of me, it was going to take a lot more than those little bumps to do me good.

I'm going to leave this one to the beginners who will hopefully get some use out of it.

It looks like a vibrator with a small cock ring attached, so it's not discreet at all.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy is very easy to use. Located on the very bottom is the dial for the vibrations. Turn it to the right for more intense vibrations and to the left for a lower intensity.

I ended up using this toy mostly for my clit, and even then it wasn't anything special. The long handle makes it easy for clit usage, and a little on the nipples, but it's loud and not waterproof.

Care and Maintenance

Here's the catch - Shaki Toys recommends that you clean the Shiny G with either antibacterial soap and hot water or by wiping down it down with isopropyl alcohol. Now, I don't know which one did it, but one of them removed that nice, shiny, lacquered coat.

That's a toy down the drain.

Any lubricant (water, oil, or silicone) can be used with this vibrator.

You can store this toy with your others, but the cock ring has to go with other jelly-types, and in a cool, dark place so that it doesn't mix with other materials.
    • Hard to clean
    • High maintenance
Follow-up commentary
This is a toy that didn't get a ton of use after my pre-review play. This guy was just too pokey for me. He lacked girth and durability. That lacquered coating didn't take long before chipping and pealing with each good cleaning. Then it was tossed.

I've stayed away from this one because the bad reviews and because that tiny poker looks painful! Lol. It's so pretty! I actually had one that looked identical to this only it was a traditional shape. HATED it! It had the same exact color and coating and it too scratched right off. Ick! I think it was called candy temptations? who know, but now it's trash can temptations! Lol. Too bad though because with more care, this could've been decent I think. Thanks for the nice info on it!
