The Vanity VR1 is amazing, not only due to it's material and overall size, but also due to how many functions are packed in such a tiny unit. The major downfall I found was that I felt like I had to fully train myself to be able to use it because when I pulled it out of the package, it immediately started switching settings and I could not shut it off without reading how!Published: November 17, 2011

The Vanity VR1 by Jopen is a remarkable new toy unlike any other currently available! The modified hourglass shape houses controls in which the settings can (and will!) change with the squeezing of your kegel/pc muscles! This makes for a fun time while "exercising" and keeping everything virgin tight. There is also a setting that you can just leave your VR1 at without having the vaginal contractions change your setting. I personally prefer the element of surprise, but this is handy for those that don't like change as climax is about to occur.
The small size of these (approx 3 1/2" in length and 1 1/4" at their widest) makes you use the muscles to keep the VR1 in place if you're using this as a traditional exerciser, but the slip-resistant silicone will help to keep the toy in place if you're standing/walking with it in. The sound on this is so quiet that you can even use the vibration setting while running around, and the only one who'll know is YOU!
There is virtually no scent to the Vanity VR1. It has a smooth, velvety surface that's very soft to the touch, and a retrieval cord that is embedded into the oblong, egg-shaped end. As silicone-based lubes can be harmful in combination with silicone-based toys, I used a straight water-based lube with this one - Sliquid Ocean. The water-based lube did need to be reapplied (as most do), but it did create a very slick lubrication with this particular toy, rather than the stickier ID, WET, Moist, and Pink products on the market.
The toy could easily be used as a unique pair of anal beads, however, I would definitely suggest a toy cover or condom over it to avoid any bacterial transfer if you plan on using it in the vagina again. I would suggest the same if you ever plan on sharing your toy, also.
There is also a travel setting that I read about. While I won't be bringing it on any trips anytime soon, I could see where this would come in handy! The toy is also waterproof, which makes for even more fun during shower/bathtime!
All in all, it's a very exciting new toy and is highly recommended to all, not only for kegel exercise, but also for play anytime, with a partner or by yourself!

Jopen Vanity Vr1 Issues-Help!?

I got one of these when they were 50% off. A steal right? I thought so...until I couldn't turn the damn thing on. I submitted a support ticket and have tried all the suggestions given to me to get it to work. Before returning it for exchange, I thought I'd ask if anyone else had any tips for me.
When charging it has the red indicator light, but it never turns white as it says it should when it is done. For those of you that own it, does your light actually turn white? If it does...there's my problem.
I have tried holding the pressure button when unlocking it but no lights ever flash and it has never vibrated. -
On most of the Jopen vibes the light turns off when it's done. I don't have the Vr1, but I have most of the rest of them. They glow red and then the light turns off.
I know sometimes when the charge is low on mine the motor gets all wonky. The red lights will come on like I'm turning them on but no vibrations. That's how I know the battery is about to die. Sometimes shaking it will give me the last little bit of juice before I finally need to put it on the charger. I find that to be the oddest thing, but it works. The same thing actually happens with my Spirit (which is also Power Bullet).
If it doesn't come on at all, even on full charge, it sounds like the motor just gave out all together. :( Try shaking it though. The Power Bullets seem to like that.

Kegel or Vibe?

I have one of these on the way for review but I'm slightly confused as to what this is intended to be used as. It's listed as an egg vibrator, but looks like the Ami and other kegel exercisers. Is it both? Is it open to debate? Thoughts and wild guesses welcome!

I think this is supposed to be a kegel vibe. No one's reviewed it yet so I'm not quite sure.

You know, I thought of it as a vibrator at first. But I think it can be both, especially now that I know you have to squeeze your kegels to go through the vibration patterns. I think that's really cool.
