First off, the Butterfly Kiss is an excellent vibrator for beginners; I was a beginner when I bought this toy.

The Butterfly Kiss is a total of 7" in length, and its diameter is 1 1/8". It takes 2 AAA batteries and has a single push-button for the controls. The shaft is non-intimidating, and there is a bulb at the end to help stimulate the g-spot. The butterfly is meant to stimulate the clit, and it feels amazing. The clitoral stimulation of this toy is top notch.

The vibrations of the Butterfly Kiss are split up into three levels: low, medium, and high. That may not sound very exciting, but the high vibrations are decently strong and are capable of causing some serious orgasms. The bulk of the vibrations are concentrated in the clitoral stimulator (the butterfly) where the motor is. The vibrations travel up the shaft and cause the bulbed head of the shaft to wiggle against the g-spot. When the batteries start to die, the vibrations become weaker (as with a lot of sex toys). As this toy is a year old now and is on the rather cheap side, its battery life has gotten shorter and shorter throughout my use of it. The batteries will only last about an hour on high now. The toy still provides excellent stimulation despite its shorter battery life.

The toy is also waterproof! I have submerged my Butterfly Kiss in water and used it in the shower, so I have tested it and all tests were successful. Since the toy is waterproof, that means it is a snap to clean. I use warm water and soap, but alcohol wipes should be fine, too.

The Butterfly Kiss is made of jelly material. When it was new, the toy never had any sort of smell or stench to it. It looked very clean. It's up to you if you choose to use the toy with a condom, but it would be difficult due to the shape of the vibe. I personally do not use a condom on this toy. Since the toy is so flexible, it's not possible to press the bulbed head into the g-spot effectively, but the vibrations feel wonderful and strong inside.

My Butterfly Kiss has not had any physical deformations, but I do keep my jelly toys from touching each other after hearing some of the other reviewers' horror stories about how their toy melted in the heat or when it was placed on another jelly toy. I have NOT had this experience with mine, but I do try to prevent it by storing it in a cool place and separated from my other toys.

Since the controls and care for this toy are very simple, I would recommend this toy to any beginner. Advanced users that like bigger toys might be disappointed by this toy because the shaft is very thin and may not fit properly in a vagina used to thicker and longer penetration. Users looking to find a decent g-spot vibe that fits their budget will love this toy.

The noise level of the Butterfly Kiss isn't that loud. On the highest setting, there is a loud buzzing, but it's easily hidden under the covers and through a shut door. The actual feel of the toy is "squishy." Since the toy is jelly, the texture is soft and supple; the wings and antennae of the butterfly are easily bent, and the shaft is flexible and easily adjusted. The embossed heart pattern on the handle of the vibrator helps with gripping and also adds a bit of cuteness. The weight of the toy isn't all that heavy either. It's quite light, actually.

The actual design of the toy is for the clit and g-spot to be stimulated. My g-spot is located closer to my vaginal opening, so the bulb didn't hit it the right way. The vibe still feels amazing inside though. The vibrations travel up the shaft rather well and skillfully tease the vaginal walls. The clitoral-stimulating butterfly is heavenly. The antennae of the butterfly flutter gently against you, and the ridges on the body of the butterfly provide an interesting sensation along the clit that is quite pleasurable. I have used lubricant with this toy. I used a water based lubricant that EdenFantasys doesn't carry. Overall, this toy performs its functions rather well.

The Butterfly Kiss is an excellent vibe for beginners. It's a nice alternative to getting a boring, traditional vibrator as a first one.
