The Price Is Right

This vibrator is over the top good for the price you pay. It's small enough for beginners, and powerful enough for the more advanced. It's girlie appearance works well for those who may be squeamish about toys, and it works well to get the job done. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and changing batteries is a snap. Overall, I'd buy this one again.

Pros:
Inexpensive, multi-speed, small enough for beginners, good vibration.
Cons:
Needs to be easier to clean, and the g-spot stimulation could be better.

Use

For me this toy rocks. I used roughly 4 or 5 times before writing this review. It's cute appearance, and small design were perfect for a first timer toy. It has a relatively quiet motor, and provides fantastic clitoral stimulation. Having 3 speeds is a plus. The lowest setting was just enough for me to get my interest peaked, at medium I was left wanting more, and on high speed I reach climax very quickly. I'd have to say I have a little disappointment with the G-spot vibrations, they aren't that noticeable, but the vibration you do feel is pleasurable.

Material / Texture

Upon opening the package for this vibrator I didn't notice an overly chemical or plastic smell. it was a bit slippery, but that washed off with toy cleaner in a few seconds. It's made from jelly so the texture is soft and gives with a little pressure, but not squishy either. It feels very close to the real thing, and the smooth texture makes for easy use.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of this one is what caught my eye. The g-spot stimulator looked as though it would offer a good amount of stimulation, and the butterfly was just so cute I couldn't resist. The sizing on this one is great for beginners and advanced, although, I'd say it's more geared towards the beginner user. It is definitely smaller than what I thought it would be, so it works out well for travel. I wouldn't recommend this one for your purse, but maybe going on a trip in your weekend bag or luggage.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This product preforms, and preforms well. The push button control is easy to use and change during use. Seems like the batteries are holding up well, because I'm not having to change them yet, where as with some toys I've had to change them out relatively quickly. It's what I would call quiet to medium in noise level. the first speed is a low whispering hum, where the high speed is more like an old cell phone on vibrate. You can hear it, but you aren't sure what it is. I used it in the bath tub once, with a silicone lubricant, and that's where the noise is. It's really a matter of physics, the vibrations in the water make more noise, than out of the bath. It sounded kind of like a drown out leaf blower. It had my husband asking what I up to behind the closed door.

Care and Maintenance

I clean this toy with warm water and toy cleaner. I store mine in its own sugar sack to keep the bacteria away. I feel as though if I kept in a box or pillow case it would get dirty easily because of the slightly sticky jelly material its made of. It seems to grab on to fuzz and dust when not in use, this makes it a little more difficult to keep clean, rather than those made of a harder material, like glass or plastic.
Follow-up commentary
I blew out the motor in this. It worked well, and I loved it until it broke :( I'm hoping that one day it will magically wake up, I miss it.

Jelly is also not able to be sterilized so use with a condom when sharing is highly recommended.

Nice review!

This toy is like so impossible to put a condom on and have it work well. Its a fun toy though. Don't share. Use lots of triclosan antibacterial soap.good review.

Sounds like this one is a keeper even if it would take a bit more effort to keep clean and safe. Glad to hear it worked so well for you, great review!

  • i have experiment attraction to women,,, i´m bicurious?
    • hi my name is yesenia paris,, and i´m 22 but since i was in high school i kind of have curiosity for girls,, i never like really kiss a girl or anything or i never had any female friend to experiment that, like i am very shy person and also like a lonely girl,, althought i am a very pleasant person and i good human being ,, noone seens to like me,,, but although of that matter i still feel the curiosity may because i have never been with a girl before
does that make a bisexual,a bicurious,of it just because the loneliness or the lock of friends,, like i never have a real
girl friend ,, like it´s samething that happens with boys,, you are not friends with them ,, but you like them in a different way,,, i always thing it´s because my loneliness
and the need of an another ,, girl being friends with me i also don´t have a mom to call and talk about my problems maybe it´s because of that the confusion thanks have a nice day
    • Someone made a similar post a while back, and I'll basically tell you what we told her. Don't follow stereotypes. Don't label yourself. If you are interested in girls, then you just are. If you haven't experimented with girls, personally I feel that when I liked someone it isn't based on any particular factor, it is based on the person themselves. I tell people I am bisexual, but really I think of myself as pansexual, not limiting emotion and attraction to anything. Not gender, not age, not race, not social status.

I think that sometimes people can become lonely and will "settle", making them open their views and ideas of dating up, to allow "just anyone" to enter into their lives. My boyfriend was this way, before meeting me, dating anyone who would say yes because he had no friends, and had been hurt and heartbroken so badly he just wanted to feel loved and accepted. I also have a straight friend who dated women just so she could have someone to date, but she wasn't attracted to them, although she liked to experiment and have fun, she says she is straight, but I don't give her a label.

If you ever need a friend to talk to, I am a good listener :)
    • Excellent advice Peggi and I second that. We don't need labels...we're just people. I'm a good listener too.

  • What's up with different Butterfly Kisses?
    • When I bought my Butterfly Kiss I thought there were only 2 versions - the standard and the Platinum Edition. Since I couldn't find the PE in my country I went with the regular one. I was so bent on getting it after watching Kara Sutra's review of it. She said it was TPR. I got my Butterfly Kiss. On the packaging (plastic shell with a piece of paper) it said that it's "phthalate-free" and made of TPR. I'm inclined to believe it as it didn't smell, didn't turn ugly yellow even when I had it for more than a year, didn't sting my bits (jelly does).

Now, however I see those jelly Butterfly Kisses. What's the deal? Was my vibe mis-labeled or are there more than 2 versions? I still have the paper insert from the packaging if you'd like to see it. The vibe itself looks a bit more opaque than what I see in EF catalog - it's always looked like this.

I would also ask people from EF who deal with the Review Program. Is my Butterfly Kiss same as yours (and thus qualifies for a review) or is it a different product?
    • Hi there!! California Exotic Novelties was the 1st to come out with this fantastic design. & yes we only have 2 versions, the platinum & the original. Check it out on our website link

Many other companies have tried to duplicate our product but have had no success. We are the original creators with the best product :) Hope this helps!
    • All butterfly Kiss items are made from Safe&Pure TPR

It's the jelly - throw it away or always use a condom. Look for better materials like silicone or VixSkin.
    • I wouldn't even use a condom...just get rid of it and stay away from the material.

  • Jelly Deformation?
    • Well I loved this little bugger and it came at a bargain so I suppose I can't complain too much. But I whipped it out for play tonight only to find that the jelly seems to have dented and deformed itself on the lovely bulbous head. I had it in a pocket next to my turbo glider and I suspect with some heat and pressure, that's the culprit that did this. It has very odd dents/suctionish things on it now.

Is this prone to happen to jelly toys? Could it have been the California summer heat? I would like to prevent this from happening in the future.

But in case people are wondering, this a toy I would glady invest in again.
    • It is my experience that jelly toys just deteriorate really fast...the heat may have sped up this process though. I do know heat can cause more phthalates to leak out of jelly. It probably just kind of melted on you a little. I would have to say you should go ahead and get a new one or better yet, find a comparible toy in silicone! Silicone can be boiled so, heat shouldn't be an issue with it at all! It always sucks when one of your favorites melts.
    • Does your house get pretty warm? I've never had that problem and I live in AZ. Was it touching the turbo glider? Sounds like a toy material interaction to me.
