Close your eyes and imagine the sea shore..
Give yourself a relaxing treat and sink into a tub filled with the soothing Treasure of the Sea. With the scent of the ocean and the skin softening abilities of sea salts and seaweed, it'll be love at first dip.Published: October 18, 2010
Pros:
relaxing scent, comforting blue waters, bubbles for a bit, skin soothing and moisturizing
Cons:
I need a bigger tub!
As I twisted open the cap of my Treasures of the Sea luxury bath kit I was transported in my mind to a more relaxing time, an easier time, a warmer time. The smell of the ocean filled my bathroom as I poured a shell full of the sea salt blend under the running water of the faucet. As bubbles covering a sea of blue filled my tub I could feel relaxation take over.
Stepping into, and lowering myself down in the tub there was a feeling of absolute comfort. This blend of natural sea salts, seaweeds, and wheat germ oil feels soft on the skin and the scent of the sea side. The bubbles don't last long, but this isn't intended to be a bubble bath, the bubbles are more of a fun extra, and not the main event. Long after the bubbles dissolve the mildly blue water and the relaxing scent left me feeling as if I was laying comfortably in a secluded inlet of water. There was such an inlet on my Honeymoon to Bermuda, and if I closed my eyes I could imagine myself back there.
I stayed in the tub longer than I ever normally do. I closed my eyes and laid back and just enjoyed the scent of the ocean and the soft feel of the water on my skin. Sure, I pruned up like a raisin, but I didn't care. I absolutely did not want to get out of the tub. I have had a lot of stress lately, with a full time job, three kids, friends, and a husband. There's just a lot going on every second of the day and sometimes I just need a minute...or thirty...to myself. To make the most out of my free time I turn to Treasure of the Sea. It relaxes me as well as a glass of wine after a long day, and it rejuvenates me as much as a nice nap.
There is no glycerin in this lovely bathing mixture, so I don't have to concerned with the possibility of yeast infections. What it does have is plenty of organic moisturizers to leave my skin feeling silky and soft. I'm usually a shower person, and only take a bath every once in a while. I have a feeling that I'll be spending a lot more time in the bath tub thanks to this product. I even told my husband I'm going to buy a sun lamp and a CD of crashing waves and seagulls and just stay there all day. Maybe I could even work from the tub!
Yes, Treasure of the Sea carries a somewhat steep price tag, but it's well worth it. There is a shell scoop included with the bottle, and all you need is one shell full to fill the bath with ocean goodness. At this rate you'll get quite a few blissful baths from this bottle.
Best of all is that Treasure of the Sea leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft without any need of extra moisturizer after I leave the tub. The scent does fade but there is still a light remnant of the scent left behind, at least for a little while. The only thing I was left wanting for was a larger bath tub so that my husband and I could enjoy a sexy bath together soaking in the serene blue waters. As it is the closest this brings us to sexy time is me being less stressed out from the day and more interested in "extra curricular activities" with him.
If your interested here is the complete ingredient list:
Sodium Sulfate, Sodium Sesquicarbonate, Sodium Thiosulfate, Sodium Dodecyl Benzenesulfonate, Magnesium Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Hydrated Silica, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Fragrance, Wheat Germ Oil, Algae, Blue 1, Geranoil, Butylphenyl Mathylpropional, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate.
Whew that's a big list, try saying that three times fast! Or at all.

You may be able to submit a ticket to get an answer to this. I'm not certain, but it's worth a shot I think.

KamaSutra's Treasure of the Sea ingredients?
-
I was looking at the Treasure of the Sea today and I can't find the ingredients on the product page. The whole page is just blank. I tried looking the ingredients up on Kama Sutra's page but I didn't find them there either. Can someone tell me the ingredients if you have this? I mainly just want to know if there is glycerin in this. I was going to buy the similar Shunga bath salts but those have glycerin so I can't use those. Thanks for any help you can give me!

This sounds wonderful! I have never tried anything by Kama Sutra. Wish Listed!
I've had this on my wish list for quite awhile now, great to hear that it is as awesome as I was hoping!!
I keep reading great reviews about this but I am pretty sure it would stain my bath, its old and porous. I tried red bath salts in it once and my bath turned pink! Great review!
Alicia, this is a phenomenal review. Very, very good job, lady.
Reminds me I need to order more...
Ugh, sounds amazing! Thanks for the review.

TY for the review!
Thanks for the great review. I was glad to see this product doesn't contain glycerin as the Shunga blue bath salts do!
