Soak in luxurious blue water with foamy bubbles! Smells like the ocean!

Treasure of the Sea is an awesome product and I love using it! It smells like the fresh salty sea and leaves my skin soft and moisturized. There's plenty of product for multiple uses. The sea shell scoop is really cute but also functional. It helps to scoop the perfect amount of bath salts. I really love this product and definitely think it's worth it. I'd definitely repurchase this and even buy it as a gift. If you're thinking about it... just get it, you'll love it!

Use

The Treasure of the Sea "Luxury Bathing Kit" from Kama Sutra is definitely a must have item if you love to take baths! I purchased this product mainly to soak my feet with in my foot tub. Treasure of the Sea comes in a large plastic tub that holds 500 grams of pretty blue bath salts. It's "a blend of nature's own sea salts, seaweeds, and organic moisturizers" that leave your skin soft and slightly scented of the ocean. It even comes with a cute white seashell to use as a scoop!

To use the bath salts you just scoop the desired amount with your sea shell (included) and sprinkle it over your bath. I prefer to do this while the water is running because the salts make luxuriously soft foamy bubbles! The bath salts smell just like the fresh and salty scent of the ocean. When you're finished soaking it leaves your skin very soft and slightly scented.

If you are sensitive to these types of bath products use with caution! The scent is strong in the jar but after it's dilluted with water the scent isn't as strong. According to the ingredients list on the back of the jar there's no glycerin in this product. I listed all the ingredients down below if you're curious. Use as much or as little as you want!
    • Aromatherapy
    • Mood enhancer
    • Relaxation

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Treasure of the sea is a mixture of blue salts with bits of white. The blue salts feel very fine and powdery. The little chunks of white salts look like solid rectangular salt crystals. When you rub the powdery blue salts between your fingers it feels slightly sticky. The white pieces are solid and hard. When added to water the salts will dissolve and all the moisturizing ingredients will be evenly distributed throughout your bath water. Plus it turns the water blue! The ocean scent is very relaxing.

The sea shell scoop is really cute and definitely adds that little touch of oceanic whimsy to the theme of this product. I can imagine this is what a mermaid would use when she's taking a luxurious blue bath! I love using the sea shell to scoop the bath salt out of the jar. It makes it really easy to sprinkle over the water.

Taste / Aroma

How would I describe the scent to someone who has never smelled Treasure of the Sea Before? To me it smells very fresh and salty and definitely reminds me of the ocean. I love that salty smell. If you like that type of smell then you will love this! It's a strong scent when it's in the jar but when added to water it slightly loses it's potency. The water is still scented but it all really depends on how much you use. If you're sensitive to scented products and bath products just be careful and use a minimal amount

It's not edible and probably tastes really bad so don't eat it!
    • Fresh/salty scent
    • Smells good
    • Strong smell

Performance

I used a large scoop of treasure of the sea in my foot tub. I soaked my feet for about 30 minutes and really enjoyed the blue water and the ocean scent. The salts dissolved quickly and I could feel the difference it made to the water. The water gets softer and there's a little bit of soft foam that forms. It feels awesome! Afterwards I wondered if it was going to turn my feet blue but thankfully it did not. I dried my feet off and they felt a lot softer and moisturized. I have a small bath tub so I probably won't use it too much for taking baths but I'm definitely going to be soaking my feet more often! The softness lasts quite a while but it does eventually wear off. The scent is so fresh and clean and soaking my tired feet was really relaxing! I loved my experience with this product.

Treasure of the Sea
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Light scent
    • Skin softening

Packaging

Treasure of the Sea comes in a plastic tub with a black plastic lid. You get 500 grams of bath salt. The jar has a sticker label that has the Kama Sutra logo on the front. The label look like a miniature piece of art with blue waves and mermaids! Very cute! I even see a little green turtle in the corner. The top of the lid has a big round sticker to match. It's really pretty and it would make a nice gift. I would definitely take it with me on a trip!

I love the white seashell scoop. It reminds me of seashells you can purchase at a craft store. It definitely serves it's purpose well! Without the scoop I'd probably make a huge mess.

There's a lot of product in the jar so I think I'll get plenty of uses out of it. It's definitely worth the price to me!
    • Travel friendly
    • Very informative packaging
    • Would make a nice gift
