Cute Little Ball of Perfection

This is my favorite lip balm; they are smooth, moisturizing, smell and taste great, and they look pretty cute. I love that they have little finger indents on the container in order it keep it from slipping from your fingers.

Use

I could rave about this lip balm for a long time, but I am going to keep it short and sweet. I love every product I have gotten from EOS thus far, and this balm is amazing; it is the best lip balm I have ever tried up to this point. It is moisturizing, smells great, tastes good, and is pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

When you get a new lip balm, you have to "break it in," right? You know what I mean, the first few times you use it there is that new "seal," that firm outer ring on the top of the lip balm. I did not experience that "new" feeling with my EOS; it felt like an old lover gliding across my lips.

The balm is smooth and moisturizing. It does not need to be re-applied often, unless you are me. I lick mine off all the time without realizing I am doing so. When I am reading, thinking, etc., I have a habit of "sucking" my lips in and rubbing my tongue against them, leaving the balm to disappear quicker than you can say "Evolution Of Smooth."

Taste / Aroma

At the moment, I am technically reviewing the Strawberry Sorbet lip balm, but I have had many of the other flavors as well. The taste of the Strawberry is light (not overpowering) and does not have an artificial taste, like some products have. The smell is also light enough to not be overpowering but is fragrant enough that people close to you might want to lean in for a taste.

I have also had the Sweet Mint, Lemon Drop, Medicated Tangerine, Summer Fruit (which I hate!), Pomegranate-Raspberry, and Honeysuckle-Honeydew. Here is a quick overview of what I think of the flavors/scents:

1. Sweet Mint: My absolute favorite of all the options above. Smells amazing, tastes even better, and my boyfriend is also commenting on how good my lips smell.

2. Lemon Drop: Tastes great! I love lemon drop cookies, and that is what prompted me to get this flavor. It tastes and smells great.

3. Medicated Tangerine: The tangerine is OK--not my favorite scent but it is not bad. If I had a choice out of the EOS balms, I would probably pick up something next to it if I needed a new lip balm. But, if I were in a pinch and it was between the EOS Tangerine or a ChapStick, I would get the tangerine.

4. Summer Fruit: I hate this one! I would choose any other lip product over the Summer Fruit. It smells awful and tastes just as bad. I ended up giving it to my boyfriend, and he did not like it either. I gave another one to my sister, and she ended up throwing it somewhere in her closet. I am definitely not a fan.

5. Pomegranate-Raspberry: I do not think Eden sells this flavor, but I picked it up elsewhere for about $3. I thought it would be better (I love pomegranate), but it was not as good as I had hoped. Still, it smells good, though it does not have too much of a smell compared to the other balms, and tastes pretty good too.

6. Honeysuckle-Honeydew: Smells really good and tastes amazing!

None of the balms taste artificial, with the exception of the Summer Fruit.

Performance

The balm does not need to be re-applied often unless you are like me and bite/suck/lick at your lips a lot. When I do not bite/lick/suck at my lips, the balm stays on for a good, few hours before I re-apply. In terms of how long the product lasts before you need to buy a new one, it depends on how often you are going to use it. My lips have been pretty dry lately so I have been using mine non-stop. I go through a new EOS probably every week-and-a-half to two weeks. Keep in mind that I am using it about 15-25 times a day, depending on the day and how often I remember to apply it.

Bottom is flat so that the balm will stand up and not roll.

You can see how worn-down my mine is from use.

Thanks for the review! I had high hopes for the tangerine, which I just ordered, but I'm definitely not keen on something that smells or tastes like medicine.

This is the best, most thorough review I have seen on this product! I especially appreciated that you explained all the flavors! Unfortunately, they ran out of mint & I got Summer fruit, I HATE the smell! I think it has a whiff of cat urine smell to it! Anyway, thanks for the terrific review, I just finished my review today.
