Since this consistantly came up as one of the best vibrators around, I decided to try it, since I have problems achieving an orgasm. When I first got it, I was amazed to find how very strong it was. In fact, I couldn't even put it directly on my skin. I found that putting a cloth (or the bedspread) between my skin and the Hitachi was the best solution for that. A great way to lessen the vibrations and get more variety out of it, is to get an extension cord with a slider or dial, that controls the amount of electricity going to the Hitachi.

I would recommend this as a vibrator, since it's gotten me closer than anything else thus far. It also works very well as a regular massager, and can also help relieve sinus headaches when pressed against the forehead. It can be used by anyone externally, or internally if you have the attachments that fit over the head. I would recommend that if you live with roommates, you should wait until they aren't home, or at least are well and truly distracted by other things before using it, since it is rather loud.

The head is slightly textured and soft, and that does add a bit to the experience. There is no noticeable odor to it.

The design is pretty good, but I do sometimes wish that it was cordless. The cord sometimes gets in the way, but at least it is long enough that you probably won't have an issue with it not reaching your bed. The head is rather large, so to get the right stimulation sometimes you have to hold it so that it barely touches the spot that you are trying to stimulate. On the other hand, you can stimulate a relatively large area all at once if that's what floats your boat. It's small enough to hide in a drawer or under/behind the bed or even under the mattress. I don't have any experience traveling with it, but I can tell you that you probably wouldn't be allowed to have it in your carry-on bag.

This is a pretty simple vibrator to use. The switch is on the side of the toy, near the head so that when you are holding it, you can quickly switch between the two speeds. It's pretty noisy, but that's because it's powerful. All of the vibrations are in the head, but they don't travel down the handle at all, so you don't have to worry about your hand getting all tingly from holding a vibrating object.

This is pretty easy to take care of. The soft head is removable for easy washing, and it doesn't take more than either a toy cleaner or mild soap and warm water to keep it clean. I use a water-based lubricant with it, and I've never had an issue.
