Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Treasure of the Sea is finer than most other bath salts, so you’ll want to use the provided scoop to place them in the bath. If you scoop them in while the water is running, you’ll get a nice bubble bath. They will turn your water a blue color, making you feel like you are in the ocean. The salts absorb in the water, and no residue is left behind.
    • Sandy

Taste / Aroma

This product isn’t meant for ingestion, but it smells amazing. It has an oceanic salty scent with a hint of what smells like cucumber and lilies, but it’s not very floral. It’s a nice fragrant smell that is neither masculine or feminine. The scent lingers on the skin for a little while afterwards, but it is very light.
    • Light smell
    • Smells good

Performance

These bath salts performed better than any other bath salts I’ve had the pleasure of trying. I only require two scoops to get the water a nice blue color, and bubbles that last for about 20 minutes. The salts dissolve, but it takes about 10 to 15 minutes for them to do so. Other than the bubbles, the texture of the water doesn’t change.

I like that the salts and the bubbles absorb completely. The bath salts don’t leave behind any evidence, so no worries about hours of scrubbing. My skin feels amazingly soft after each time I bathe with the salts, and I usually end up sleeping better also.
    • Absorbs nicely
    • Allergy concerns
    • Produces bubbles

Packaging

The bath salts come in a 24.6 oz jar with a screw off top. All the product information is already on the label, so no extra packaging was required, although a nice box would make it better for gift giving.

The scoop is already inside the jar, but wrapped in plastic. I recommend unwrapping the scoop in an empty sink or something because even though I was careful, I still ended up with a salty mess. The scoop is really cute. It is metal, but it is in the shape of a sea shell, which is a really nice touch to an already great product.
    • Does not leak
    • Very informative packaging
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

For a while, I stopped using extra products in my baths because they left behind a filthy, scummy mess I never looked forward to scrubbing. With these bath salts I never have to worry about that, and for that, I’m so grateful.

The large jar holds enough bath salts for plenty of uses, so it is definitely worth it. I can bathe for as long as I’d like, and I never get sick of the smell, and I love that it lingers on my skin. I am really happy I got this, and I will definitely order this again when I run out.
    • Large jar
    • Leaves no residue
    • Plenty of product
Follow-up commentary
I've used this stuff about once a week and it's lasted me this long. I hope EF continues to stock products like these. If you want to add bubbles to your bath with a nice relaxing scent, Treasure of the Sea is the way to go.

I really want some of this! My aunt used to take baths in something like this, she'd never let me use it though so now I can get my own and go to her grave and be like "oh auntie! Look what I have! And it's alllll mine. Ha." . . . I wouldn't really do that, but the idea of doing that is kind of humerous to me.

Anyways! Awesome review.

  • KamaSutra's Treasure of the Sea ingredients?
    • I was looking at the Treasure of the Sea today and I can't find the ingredients on the product page. The whole page is just blank. I tried looking the ingredients up on Kama Sutra's page but I didn't find them there either. Can someone tell me the ingredients if you have this? I mainly just want to know if there is glycerin in this. I was going to buy the similar Shunga bath salts but those have glycerin so I can't use those. Thanks for any help you can give me!

I don't have them personally and couldn't find the ingredients listed on any online retailer but I did find an online blog review of them that lists ingredients - whether or not you choose to trust this blogger to have included everything is your call, but it looks like what the formulation would probably be to me.
