Treasure of the sea review
Treasure of the Sea—like many of the Kama Sutra products—is designed to enhance sensual awareness and encourage intimacy. Both my partner and I love this product and use it several times a week, for a tropical get-away as near as our tub.Published: November 24, 2008
Pros:
Foaming bath suds.
Organic ingredients.
Soothes skin irritations and dry skin.
Organic ingredients.
Soothes skin irritations and dry skin.
Cons:
Perhaps a bit pricey, but well worth it when you want to pamper yourself or your lover.
Kama Sutra’s Treasure of the Sea is a luxurious scented bath salt enriched with a blend of organic ingredients derived from dulse, kelp, sea salts and mineral oils. The bath salts come in a lovely designer tin with ancient Indian-styled images of mermaids swimming through the sea. The tin contains 20 oz of ocean blue bath salts, a seashell scoop and a natural loofa sponge.
My partner and I love to share a bath together. It is a sensual time for both of us to relax and wash away the stress of the day. Until I purchased Treasure of the Sea we used Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) in our bath to soothe our tired muscles, which we always loved. I sell Treasure of the Sea at the sex shop where I work, and one of my co-workers told me how it soothed her psoriasis, so I decided to try it since I get dry patches of skin during the winter.
That night after supper, I drew a bath for my partner and I, pouring in a healthy scoop of the blue salts. Immediately, the tub water turned into the color of a tropical sea, with foamy suds floating on top as a sensual, fresh aroma filled the bathroom. I then lit a few candles and called my partner in.
As we both sunk into our 6 ½ foot old claw foot tub, the calm blue waters enveloped us like warm liquid silk and the soft fragrance filled our senses. Magnesium sulphate, one of the ingredients of Treasure of the Sea, is used in flotation therapy which makes the body more buoyant, so you feel the weight of your limbs and body floating away.
When I emerged from the bath, I may not have been Aphrodite floating upon the ocean on her seashell, but I did feel as beautiful as a Goddess and so wonderfully relaxed, my muscles soothed and my skin silky soft and sensual. Treasure of the Sea—like many of the Kama Sutra products—is designed to enhance sensual awareness and encourage intimacy. Together with other Kama Sutra products like the Oil of Love, Honey Dust or the Weekender Kit, Treasure of the Sea is a great start to a night of intimacy, pampering and sensual sex. Both my partner and I love this product and use it several times a week, for a tropical get-away as near as our tub.

You may be able to submit a ticket to get an answer to this. I'm not certain, but it's worth a shot I think.

KamaSutra's Treasure of the Sea ingredients?
-
I was looking at the Treasure of the Sea today and I can't find the ingredients on the product page. The whole page is just blank. I tried looking the ingredients up on Kama Sutra's page but I didn't find them there either. Can someone tell me the ingredients if you have this? I mainly just want to know if there is glycerin in this. I was going to buy the similar Shunga bath salts but those have glycerin so I can't use those. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Thank you for viewing Treasures of the sea – sensual kit review page!

This product never really foamed much for me, and I've been using it for around a decade. I wonder if it depends on how you add it to the bath?
I noticed your review that it didn't foam for you. I am thinking it may be because you might have hard water? I know some products won't foam in hard water. I put a heaping scoop full and get about 2" of bubbles. I add it on the bottom of the bath tub while I'm filling it with water. The foams lasts for the full bath time, and I usually stay in it for about 1/2 an hour or so.
I know it foams for other people as well because I work in a sex store and sell the product quite a bit. Hard water is the only reason I can think of that it would not foam.
So $26 for a bag of salt and a small loofah?
Yep! It's worth it. I used to buy epsom salts, but now buy this product exclusively. It transforms your bath and is so soothing.
Thanks for the review!
