All Tied Up and Nowhere to Go
This is a product that takes time and patience in learning how it will work best for you and your partner. It's a definite keeper, and I'll follow up with another review in the near future.Published: December 16, 2010
Pros:
Easily to apply and remove, sturdy and durable.
Cons:
Could constrict circulation if applied too tight. The bag is a little on the small side
My husband and I have enjoyed a variety of sex toys throughout the years, but had never had a Spreader bar set. I decided it was time to try it out, so I ordered the Fetish Fantasy Series Spread 'em bar and cuff set by Pipedream. I have always enjoyed light bondage, so I thought this set would be right up my alley.
When the package arrived, it came in a black bag with a zipper and a novelty lock. I unzipped the zipper so I could check out my newest treasure. I had a little bit of difficulty removing the longest bar from the bag. The bag would be much more user friendly if it was a couple inches longer. Anyway, I pulled out the bars and cuffs and gave them the one over. The bars are 25 inches and 12 inches, respectively. They appeared to be durable and were pretty much what I expected. The cuffs are soft and velcro, very easy to put on and take off. They attach to the bars easily.
Finally, a night in to try them out. My husband applied the cuffs and bars to me, making sure to not impede my circulation. With any bondage play, it is vital that you ensure the equipment is not too snug. (Imagine trying to explain that one to a doctor!) I applied resistance to the cuffs and the bars remained straight and had no bowing, which I expected there would be some movement to the bars. Surprisingly, there was none.
The cuffs were very comfortable and still allowed for some interaction on my behalf. And because the cuffs have the release attachment on them, the cuffs could be incorporated into use with other bondage equipment, so the element of versatility is there.
This product is one that I feel I will have to experiment with and become comfortable with. It will take a few uses to really get the feel for its purpose and how it benefits us during play. Look for an updated follow-up review in the near future.
When we put the bars and cuffs away, we did notice that the bag is just a little too small, making it difficult to repackage. I guess it's true, a few inches can make all the difference in the world.

Spreader bar for overhead suspension.
-
Does anybody know if this spreader bar is durable and sturdy enough to be used for suspension?
I'm torn between that one and the Adjustable spreader bar by Kinklab. :( -

Honestly, none of the gear in the "suspension" category is really for suspension, except for the possibility of ropes.
I don't want to take business away from Eden Fantasys, but I do know of a few sites that do carry honest-to-goodness suspension gear (cuffs, boots, bars). Send me a message if you're still looking - I will warn you, though, that suspension gear comes at a premium due to the higher-strength materials required. -
Make your own!

Good review. But why did you give it 3 stars when the only negative I read was that the bag was too small?
