Climax burst? Not exactly... I guess "Climax gum-bubble pop" isn't as exciting though.

Climax bursts cools, but not a whole lot. It lubricates, but you have to reapply somewhat often. It's water-based and thus safe for most toys, but has the slimy sort of texture I associate with water-based lubes. Long story short, it's about a "middle-of-the-road" sort of lube that does what it has to. If you think you might be into cooling, it's worth a shot, but there might be other things out there that will do you one better.

Use

Climax burst cooling lubricant is a clear, water-based lube with little blue nonpareils suspended in it. It's really pretty, but at first I was somewhat underwhelmed - it didn't really do a whole lot more than what "normal" lubes do. However, I found the key to unlocking the ice in those little blue sprinkles, and it's probably exactly what you think.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This stuff is kinda bumpy when you first touch it (the nonpareils I mentioned earlier give it this texture), although it's hardly noticeable if it's not on your fingertips. It kinda has a slimy, goopy feeling I'm beginning to associate with water-based lubes. The cap affects how well the stuff escapes; it's a pop-cap kind of like the ones you might find on a Gatorade bottle. Once you actually manage to get some out of the bottle (a gentle squeeze helps), it stays put pretty well - when I put some on a finger and hold my hand up, it will slide a little, then stop. The blue beads in it squash pretty quickly.

Taste / Aroma

I didn't taste it, and the product page said it didn't have a flavor. Personally, I'd go with that and just not use it for any sort of oral play. Remember, it has a cooling effect, so I imagine it'd be a really weird sensation on your tongue. It does have an odd smell. It's not overbearing by any means, but if you decided to smell it (for reviewing purposes, I did) it kind of smells like plastic.

Performance

I generally have to use a fair amount, because it either dries up, quits cooling, or both quickly. It does cool, although I discovered that the cooling effect is MUCH more noticeable if there's some air movement around the area. Even the overhead fan in my bedroom enhanced the sensation. It is - as I said - kind of slimy, and also the cooling doesn't stop when you do, so I usually wash it off in the shower with a shower puff and my body wash.

I like playing with temperatures, so the cooling it proposed is what drew me to it. However, I was initially disappointed because it didn't seem to cool very well. Once I discovered the secret to unleashing the cooling effect, it was a lot easier to like the product.

I've only tried the Climax Bursts in Anal and the Aphrodisiac Enhanced. Personally the aphrodisiac didn't do much for me. But I have been curious about the cooling one.

Thanks! The slimy is not SO bad, it's just... that consistency where it kinda strings out and if I watch it it grosses me out. So I try not to.
