Heart stockings with bow - stockings discontinued by Coquette - review by Breas

The Heart Stockings with Bow by Coquette are available in one-size-fits-most only. They arrived in a thin plastic packaging with a cardboard insert. There is a photo of a model wearing the stockings on the front of the packaging. It also states the company name and product name. The back of the packaging has the same information and photo along with the company website, and product size. The packaging is not ideal for storage. I just keep mine in my sock/stockings drawer.



Inside of the packaging, the stockings are wrapped around a thin piece of cardboard. The packaging doesn’t state the material composition but the product page states it as nylon. The nylons are white with little red hearts on it. The top band is a white lace. Both band and nylon is stretchy but the nylon is much more stretchy than the lace. The nylons are sheer.

I’ve taken a few measurements of the nylons but if you need any other measurements, let me know and I can get them for you.

Length of stocking unstretched: 25 ¾ inches
Length of stocking stretched as much as I could: well over 60 inches
Lace band width (at top of band) unstretched: 8 inches
Lace band width (at top of band) stretched as much as I could: 15 ½ inches
Length of lace band: 3 ¼ inches

The stockings are extremely thin. When I was doing the stretching for the measurements, my nails caught the stockings a couple of times. Luckily they didn’t snag, but I’d suggest being very careful when putting them on/taking them off. Also, there is no toe reinforcement in the stockings.

The floral lace band at the top of each stocking does not have any silicone band to hold the stockings up. There is elastic band where the lace meets the nylon but there is no elastic or anything above this. There’s a large red bow made of ribbon at the bottom of the band. The bow is approximately 4 ½ inches wide. The bow can be worn either in the front or back of the leg.



The bows are not detachable but they could be removed really easily from the stocking. The bows are attached by three thread loops so you don’t even need a seam ripper to remove them. If you wanted to keep the bows on the stocking, you may want to add a few more stitches just to secure them.

The stockings are quite lengthy. I’m 5’6 and I’m able to pull the stocking quite high up my leg. If I didn’t have super thick thighs, I’d probably be able to pull them all the way up. This means they’d work for someone quite taller than me. They work for me as well though. They don’t look baggy or saggy in any way.

The band at the top of the thigh high rolled while I was wearing it, especially if I were walking around. This made the thigh high fall down my leg a bit while wearing them. I’d be fine wearing them in the bedroom without garters but I probably wouldn’t wear them out beneath a skirt without wearing garter straps.

I tried the stockings on with the bow at the front and the bow at the back. You can see this in the photo below. I think it looks nicer at the front but it can be worn either way. When I pulled the stocking up my leg, the elastic band started to create muffin top at a circumference of 23 inches. So as long as you plan on wearing the band at a place on your leg with a circumference of less than 23 inches, you should be fine.



The stockings are really soft and comfortable to wear. I didn’t experience any skin irritation while wearing them. The nylons should be hand washed and line dried.

Overall, I think the stockings are really cute and comfortable. I’ve deducted one star from the rating because the band rolls a bit and because they are so darn thin. I haven’t snagged them to the point where they are unwearable yet but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time. These types of stockings are the kind that I’d purchase two pairs that way I have the backup pair for when the first pair is snagged to death.
