Lycra booty short with rhinestones - shorts discontinued by Coquette - review by SMichelle

Basics:
The Lycra booty shorts with rhinestones come to us from Coquette. They are available only in black, and they come in OSFM and OS-XL.

Material & Care:
These are made out of 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex, so they're very stretchy.

The material feels comfortable on, as it's a very light material and it doesn't make me itch at all. I expected these to feel kind of silky, but no... it just feels like a really cheap material on my fingertips. The material is opaque, though, which is nice.

These are hand wash only, and should be hung to dry. Generally, I put most of my panties through the washing machine on the delicate cycle. In this case, however, I would actually recommend sticking to hand washing them. These just aren't high quality, and I really feel like the washer will destroy them, even on the delicate cycle.

Sizing:
These come in two sizes: one size fits most and OS-XL. I purchased the XL version.

According to the size chart on Coquette's own website, the OS-XL should fit someone with hips that measure between 42-50". The OSFM, on the other hand, should fit someone with hips that measure between 38-40".

My own hips measure 40", so technically I fall into the sizing range for the OSFM. I also have a bit of an ass, though, and I wasn't confident that the OSFM would fit me right there. Also, I am pretty sure that the OSFM would've given me major muffin top. So, for this reason, I went with the OS-XL. The OS-XL fits me okay. The waistband is a little loose on me, but that was to be expected. Also, I found that my bum seriously peaked out of the bottom of these shorts. Like.. a lot. So, it was a strange fit; too small one way, too big the other.

Anyway, I don't quite think that the OS-XL will stretch all the way up to 50", like the size chart states. Instead, I'd say that these will probably stretch to about 45", and they'll probably give anyone over that a bit of muffin top.

Design:
These shorts are pretty basic; they're solid black, with the only detailing being two little cut outs on the front with bows and danging rhinestones. The cut-outs on these are found in the front -- with one being located on each side. The cut outs are cute, as they're shaped like tear drops. Above the cutouts, there's a cute little black bow, which is not designed to be removable. Danging in the center of the teardrop cut out is the rhinestone, which is fairly large. Unfortunately, the rhinestone is attached very poorly, with just a single thread.

These are, indeed, booty shorts, as I think just anyone's bottom would peak out of the bottom of the shorts. Also, these do feature a cotton pantyliner.

Quality:
Really, the quality here is lackluster. There were tons of loose threads, and the little gems fell off the first time I wore them. I literally had them on for about 15 minutes before one of the gems fell off, and I was barely moving at all! These are just poor quality.

No matter how many times I try these, I'm jut not impressed. They fit me okay, but the quality is terrible. Definitely not worth it.
