This toy was definitely designed
When I first heard of this I was so excited I sent my husband on a hunt for it. I loved the idea of having hands free fun and he really liked that he had the opportunity to control the vibrations. When he finally got one I couldn't wait to try it out. I was even more excited when I saw how much it vibrates. It can get a bit loud but is fine for closed door play.
It is hard to keep the butterfly in the right spot if you aren't careful. The straps only do a so so job of keeping the butterfly in contact with my clit so that it doesn't hurt and the wings are a bit too wide for your legs to be closed and still get off. I was right to be excited about the vibrations coming from this toy though! They are strong and the adjustable speeds are good for varying the experience. I found that while I can't wear it around the house for any time enjoyment it is great for laying back and having hands free enjoyment. My husband also likes to tie me down and take control of the remote. It is exciting not knowing how strong the vibes will be when someone else has control.
I found the straps a bit odd getting into but once I figured them out it wasn't just odd it was itchy! I have contact dermatitis and just happened to be having a flair up when I first tried the
Venus butterfly. I thought that maybe it was just because of my skin but even when my skin is clear it still feels odd. I don't know if it is the material of the straps or where they sit around my butt and hips but I am just starting to get used to how the straps feel on me. Fortunately once it is on I usually forget all about the silly straps.
Most of my favorite erotic books are short stories compiled into one big book. I enjoy reading them for the ideas they put in my head and always got frustrated when I had to stop mid scene to turn the page. Once I figured out that I can lay back and get aroused from a story and not have to keep one hand on a toy I was sold. Now it is kept right by my erotic books for a quick orgasm!
It's a rarity to find a strap-on vibe that has powerful vibrations.
My skin was being irritated by the straps not the Jelly material but thanks for pointing that out for others.
Jelly material is very porous and has phthalates, which might account for the irritation you're experiencing. Check out the article on the left sidebar for more information on phthalates. Basically, they do leak out of a toy and are absorbed by your body. The vast majority of toys are still made with jelly, but manufacturers are starting to use other materials.
I have the impulse butterfly, and I do not even use the straps. Easier to maneuver with your hands (or someone else's)
