This is a good beginner's toy but has flaws. The straps are prone to breaking and some may not find the vibrations intense enough for this to be used alone, but used as an added flair to vaginal or anal sex is great!

Use

This strap-on style toy is best for those who want some more excitement during vaginal or anal sex; if you have a hard time coming to climax during vaginal sex or typically only climax from clitoral stimulation this may be a great solution for you. Or if you and your partner decide to try anal sex but you are worried you won't climax from that alone, this will also help. It straps on and for the most part stays on, and does put itself in the right position.

If you're going it alone but want to leave your hands free, this could also be a great asset to your arsenal.

Material / Texture

The Butterfly doesn't have anything remarkable about its texture; it is smooth and non irritating. Didn't add or take away from the experience at all for me; no detectable scent and did not seem to harbor scents after use or washing.

Design / Shape / Size

The Butterfly has a really cute pink design. It's shaped like a butterfly and the body hugs you while the wings add a little flair. It could be a little bulky at times and the straps are ill-suited to carry the weight of the toy; I'm a thin woman and I broke one of them just getting into it! Other than the flaw of the straps it performs how it should.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The remote control really gives your partner the control, should you choose. The vibrations are plenty strong enough and hit the right spots but may take some time to send you over the edge if used alone. I didn't find that it was small enough to conceal under clothing; this one stays in the bedroom. The straps really are the downfall. They do not hold the toy up or in place as well as they could. The sound is not too loud and it was fairly easy to figure out.

Care and Maintenance

It's made of TPR and easy to clean with warm water and soap, or any other cleansers. Do not cleanse it with boiling water, just use soap and water and store it like you would any other toy, in its own cloth.

    I don't agree with saying that a low quality toy is good for beginners. Someone new to sex toys should have a quality toy recommended to them - they exist at all price points! - so that their first experiences with toys will not be disappointing.

    Thank you for the review. What kind of power does this toy have? Are there more than one speeds and patterns of vibration? What do they feel like? How easy is it to position this toy so that it hits the good spots? Does it move out of place when you move around? Can it be heard through a closed door? What materials is it made from? Also, you say "store in it's own cloth." Does it come with a bag for storage? That would be nice to know.

    Do you think a toy that breaks so easily would cause a user new to sex toys to want to buy more sex toys, or get frustrated? I think beginners deserve high quality toys, and toys that break easily may actually scare them away from sex toys altogether.
