Form 2 - discreet vibrator by Jimmyjane - review by jc123

I'm going to start by telling you about the box. I typically throw my toys' boxes away without even really looking at them, but the Form 2's packaging was truly impressive. Of all the sex toy manufacturers I've experienced, Jimmyjane has the best packaging. Hands down. The Form 2's box looks a lot like Apples packaging, or that of other high end electronics. The cardboard is thick and slick, yet almost velvety. The graphics are really crisp and bright. The front of the box has a beautiful picture of a Form 2 partially submerged in water. There are no people involved in this picture--just the toy and water--but it is one of the most sensual yet tasteful pictures I've encountered in toy packaging.

Inside the box is a plastic shell that holds the Form 2 and her charging station in place. The Form 2 popped out easily, but it was oddly difficult to free the charging station from the plastic. (Seriously--I almost had to break out the scissors!) Also in the box is a glossy booklet that tells you how to get yourself off in six different languages. The book also has some care and storage tips, which I'll tell you about later.

Immediately upon opening the box, I placed my Form 2 in the charger and plugged it in. The charging base itself is about two inches square by about half an inch tall. The base plugs into the power adapter, which plugs into the wall. The connection between the adapter and the base is pretty loose, so my base is sitting right next to the outlet so nothing can jar it. The base does say "Jimmyjane" on it, so you may not consider it discreet enough to leave out, but there's not a lot of stranger traffic in my bathroom so I'm just going to leave mine where it is. The Form 2 fits pretty easily into the base and emits a faint light while charging, so you know you have a good connection. The book says to let it charge for 8 hours prior to the first use, but I left mine plugged in for about ten, just in case.

The Form 2 looks like the picture (obviously), but the toy is a little bigger around than I'd assumed it would be. The toy is coated in silicone, and has no taste or smell. My first impression was that it feels kind of awkward in my hand. The ears are very flexible and I was able to fit them around my clitoris from above, below, and head on. Again, the toy felt awkward in my hand the whole time I was doing this, but the part around my clit felt nice. The controls are (say it with me) awkward too. When holding the toy the way I used it most (ears down), the top button controls pattern, the up button makes the vibrations slower/turn off, and the down button makes the vibrations increase. The placement of the controls in the center of the front of the vibrator are aesthetically pleasing, but you have to move your thumb into a really uncomfortable position to change the settings during use.

There are five vibration patterns, each of which has five levels of intensity. Level five is probably twenty percent lower than the low setting on a Magic Wand, but higher than any other clitoral vibe I've experienced. The vibration modes are: constant vibration, oscillation from one ear to the other, waves, pulse, and the last is kind of a cycle of low intensity constant vibration up to high. I tried each of these modes on various intensities with the Form 2 straddling my clitoris and the oscillation was definitely the best for me, though they were all pleasant.

In addition to providing clitoral stimulation, the Form 2 is also really good for stimulating nipples. The pulsing, in particular, feels great. It isn't long enough to really insert vaginally, but I did use the Form 2 to massage around my labia and it felt okay but not great.

The Form 2 is waterproof, and it also cleans easily. It cannot be boiled due to the nature of the internal equipment, but it can be washed and dried with soap and water. Jimmyjane suggests that the toy be stored with a partial charge, to preserve performance. One neat feature is the travel mode, in which you can use a key sequence to keep the toy from turning on when jostled during travel (similar to locking a cell phone's keys).
