The Hitachi Magic Wand Vibrator is the best vibrator I have used. It has an amazingly intense vibration that gets me off every time and has a long handle that makes it so I don't have to be a yoga master to get off.
The head of the vibrator is nice and big, so it disperses vibrations over the entire area. This makes the vibrator easy to use, and you don't need to move it. You can just leave the vibrator against you and it'll do all the work. I like sex doggy style and just prop the vibrator up along my inner thigh. This keeps the vibrator out of my husband's way. However, I have found that its a bit awkward to use this vibrator during missionary play because of its size. The vibrator just gets in the way and the angle is never quite right. This vibrator is absolutely perfect for solo play (I combine is with an Eager Beaver vibrator).
This vibrator is very powerful. I cannot stress how powerful it is. I can only use is on the low setting, the high makes me go numb in a couple of minutes. If you are sensitive, I would not recommend this product, unless you place a towel over it to dampen the vibrations. I happen to love the power is has and use it regularly for sex and solo play.
I am pleasantly surprised by how quiet this vibrator is compared to its strength. The vibrator is not quiet and to mask the noise I use it under the covers with a fan running on high in the background, but when I compare it to other vibrators I own that are less powerful, it is actually more quiet.
One problem that I have with this vibrator is the fact it has a cord. The cord limits where you can take this vibrator and I've had to reposition multiple times during sex so the vibrator can reach. I guess its a trade off, as I can't imagine getting this powerful of a vibration from batteries (that would last more than one round), plus you don't have to worry about it dying right at the worst possible moment (because that's when they always do).
Clean up of this vibrator is a breeze. I just wipe down the head with my disinfectant wipes and its ready to go. The material of the head does not attract random poofs or hair, which makes it very easy to clean.

I have had both, and they are really both very good toys. The main difference really is that the Acuvibe is rechargeable and can be used cordless, while the Hitachi must plug in to work. Personally, I think that the Hitachi is slightly stronger, and it has definitely outlasted my Acuvibes - I have had two, and they both broke down after about six months or so.

Recently I've sold my Hitachi to a friend, and I've been on the market for a new clit vibe. I'm one of those girls who has a "clit-o-steel&quo t;, so I can't really get off unless I have something powerful on my clit. I bought a LAYAspot by FunFactory, thinking it would be a nice, powerful bullet to use when I'm with my partner, and I realized that it barely even packs a punch!
I guess I'm being a bit picky. I don't want something that's as strong as the Hitachi's HIGH setting, but something kind of inbetween the two, one that has a few nice, strong modes.

This is by far the best purchase I've made. My wife has a tough time reaching orgasm and needs the intense vibrations for her to climax.
