The Cutest Vibe Ever!

Shivers is the best clitoral vibrator I have ever used! He's discreet, powerful, easy to care for and good for travel. If you love strong clitoral stimulation with a whimsical touch then I think you'll love this toy, too!

Use

OK, the Bzzz Buddies are an adorable line of clitoral vibrators but you can use them to stimulate any part of your body. Let me tell you, guys, this thing tickles! I used it on my arms, legs, nipples, labia and clitoris. I like it best on my labia and clitoris. It's too intense on my nipples! It's not ideal for vaginal penetration and you should not use it anally because it has no flared base. I guess you could use it to stimulate around the anus but I didn't use it like that.

Material / Texture

This vibe is made of a hard, food-grade plastic that is not porous and phthalates free. It's also hypoallergenic which is great for people with sensitivities! The little nubs on the very end are made of metal. Shivers comes with four interchangeable caps (just like all of the Bzzz Buddies) with different textures and they're made of plastic as well. Neither the body of the vibe nor the caps are flexible. I would say that the smooth cap is best for those who don't like texture or are new to it. The plastic is smooth to the touch and has no taste or smell.

Design / Shape / Size

The shaft of the vibrator is shaped like your typical pocket rocket. What sets this one and the other Bzzz Buddies apart is that it's topped with an adorable animal (panda bear, kitty cat, puppy, polar bear). They all have huge exaggerated eyes which pushes the cuteness factor up several notches! The tops cannot be removed like I first thought when I saw them. One thing that separates Shivers from the others is that he's holding a red heart between his little paws. Below him is a series of images of him in different poses with the heart. Super cute! He's three dimensional and even has a tiny stub of a tail on back!

With the caps you get a variety of texture. One cap is smooth and rounded; one has six little flat nubs; one has multiple spike looking nubs; and the fourth has even more but smaller spikey nubs. The caps pop off very easily for changing but they stay on while in use. You can use just the little metal nubs on the bottom of the toy but I don't like them very much. Smooth is my favorite! The spikey ones hurt me some.

It looks like a child's toy so it's very discreet but you'll want to keep it out of sight if you have any children. How embarrassing would that be?! I've put Shivers into my purse and taken him out with me, so he's definitely suitable for travel!

Functions / Performance / Controls

Bzzz Buddies are very easy to use and control. Like with any pocket rocket, the body is split into two parts. It requires just one AA battery and you twist open the body to insert it. The words "on," "off," and "open" are your only directions. There are three pointed grooves that you line up on whichever action you want. To make sure it stays closed, you should have the grooves pointing to the off setting. Twist it clockwise to turn it on and counter-clockwise to turn it off or open it.

It's disappointing that it has only one speed but it's very powerful so I feel that makes up for it. I still listed it as a con because I would love to have more options! It surprised me with its power! I wasn't expecting it since it only takes one AA battery but I'm glad to have been proven wrong!

There's an O-ring where you twist the vibe open and closed so it's water-proof. I tested this out by taking it in the bath with me and it worked!

Care and Maintenance

Because it is water-proof it is super easy to care for. You can use anti-bacterial soap and warm water or even your favorite toy cleaner! Isopropyl alcohol works too! You'll want to be sure to clean the textured caps really well so no gunk is left to dry up. It's compatible with all lubes but I prefer to use just a little bit of water-based lube with my Shivers. You don't have to worry about it behaving weird with other materials so store it as you please!

Packaging

The package it comes in is clear plastic with cute little paw prints in hearts and it has a picture of the buddy inside with a little introduction balloon. For Shivers, it says "Hi, I'm Shivers!" SO cute! On the back of the package is a story about Shivers and an invitation to collect all of the Bzzz Buddies. I love that the packaging is as fun as the toy itself! Most people would think this is a child's toy based on the packaging and the toy itself, so it may be discreet looking but you definitely don't want any children taking an interest in it! I wouldn't recommend it as a storage container but it could be used that way.

My Shivers is still just as great as when I first got him! He doesn't drain batteries. I haven't had to replace my batteries yet and I've had him for a few months! I haven't had a single issue with him. I still highly recommend him (or his friends).

  • Overheating Bzzz buddies
    • Do the metal balls ever overheat and hurt during use? I was curious cause I think they are so cute, but a burning clit however is not cute :(

  • Widgets and options such as color choices
    • I'd like to use a widget of the BzzzBuddies in my blog, but the system won't let me save more than one of the same item to my desktop. I've run into this problem before when attempting to choose specific colors of products for widgets.

      Is there a way to do this which I am overlooking, or is this simply not possible?

      Right now there does not seem to be a way to add more than one style or color of the same product to a widget. I completely understand that this feature would be desirable and useful, especially if you want to talk about a specific version of a toy or if you want to compare versions.

      I'll look into this issue more and update this thread if/when new options are available.

    • Hi! One thing about the BzzzBuddies that's certain -- they sure get people buzzzing (sorry, couldn't resist). We at TME understand the toy isn't for everyone, and that's a-okay. Nothing ever is though, is it? And that's what's so awesome about human sexuality :) We've had an enthusiastic reception at trade shows and in adult stores, mainstream stores, etc and yes, have heard from those who didn't get it or didn't find the toys their thing. But we've found that our fans so far are much more than that: Bachlorettes, newcomers to toys, those who love to role-play, and those who want to give an ice breaker gift with a playful edge have all shown their love for the BzzzBuddies.

      Thanks for the honest feedback! This is why we love the Edenfantasys community. I'm definitely keeping track of all suggestions and comments so that we can keep it in mind for all the fun stuff we have planned for the future.

      P.S. The tips we chose because they're standard for introductory rockets and provide texture that many body massage enthusiasts go for (such as a light, vibrating scratch up and down the back -- it sends an exhilirating chill, I guarantee you, especially with warming massage oils!), but you all have provided inspiration for other tips that we can introduce in the future that would be fun for more sensitive areas. Until then, the rounded tip and nub-dot tip are my personal favorites for when the fun massage gets serious ;)
