Love Pacifier Beginner - Satisfactory Pacifier Beginner.

Though it isn't perfect I can say without hesitation that this plug is well worth the money you will spend on it. It is well shaped and comfortable to wear, body safe and can be easily sterilized. It works well as an introduction to plugs, but those who are complete anal virgins might be more comfortable with a slightly smaller toy. Overall the benefits of the Love Pacifier Beginner far outweigh its shortcomings.

Use

The Love Pacifier Beginner is an anal plug designed as a small body friendly introduction to anal play, or just plugs in general. It is ergonomically shaped to work with the curves of your body and has a sturdy ring handle to help with easy extraction. The Love can be used for short or long term wear, however if you like to wear your plugs out and about this one may not work for you as the handle is big enough that it feels like it would be evident through clothing.

Plugs are meant to be inserted and left in place; they are not designed for thrusting, but to be comfortable while stationary for long periods of time. They can be used alone or during masturbation, as well as during vaginal intercourse. One of the benefits is the full feeling a plug provides, making vaginal intercourse with the plug inserted that much more stimulating.

Even though this plug is silicone and therefor non porous, it is still not safe to be sharing between partners without sterilizing it first. Luckily that is as easy as tossing it in a pot of boiling water.

Material / Texture

The Love Pacifier is made of 100% silicone, which is non porous, pthalates and latex free. It has a very light, almost undetectable odor after washing (oddly enough mine smells very faintly of strawberry), and no taste.

This particular silicone is fairly firm with only a little give, and smooth overall but with a slight drag. Where the material is thinner at the neck and handle the silicone is easily bendable. Because the silicone is quite smooth, a small amount of lube goes a long way; a pea sized amount on the tip of the plug should be more than enough to comfortably insert it.

Unfortunately, there is a seam running down the full length of this toy. It is not defined enough to make much of a difference for most people (myself included), but for those of you that are extra sensitive it might be a bit unpleasant.

Design / Shape / Size

I have mixed feelings about the design of this plug. I like the shape of the head because it is comfortable to insert and stays where I put it with little to no effort, and I like that it is ergonomic because it feels far more natural than a straight shaft. However, I hate the size of the handle. It is far too large for me to sit comfortably on, and I am almost positive it would be noticeable under clothing. I also feel that the width at the base of the handle is a bit more than is necessary, and would be much more comfortable if only it were a millimeter or two narrower.

I feel that despite its small size in comparison to NON beginner plugs, the Love Pacifier Beginner may still be a bit intimidating to anal virgins. I compared its size with that of some of the other beginner plugs on the market and discovered this:

It is larger than the Pure Plug small by 1/4 inch in diameter and has 1/4 inch more insertable length.
It is the same size in both diameter and insertable length as the pure plug Medium.
It is larger in diameter than the Fun Factorys Bootie, but the Bootie has 1/2" more in insertable length.
It has the same diameter as the Ace Plug Small, but the ace plug has 3/4" more insertable length, though the Ace is lacking in the ergonomic curve present in the rest of them.

Performance

The Love performed as expected, it was comfortable to insert, stayed in place and wasn't overwhelming. The only real flaw in my opinion was the handle. I had no problem or discomfort when laying down in any position or even when standing but when sitting I could feel the pressure created by it, and when worn under clothes I was constantly worried that it stuck out and was obvious.
    • Not very discreet

Care and Maintenance

All toys should be washed before and after each use, since this plug is silicone it is not porous and is therefore relatively easy to clean. Soap and hot water will do the trick most of the time, but you can also opt for an antibacterial toy cleaner. Because this is an anal toy it is a good idea to sterilize it on a regular basis in order to prevent bacterial growth which could lead to infection. This can be done by submerging it in boiling water for a few minutes, or by using a 10% bleach and water solution.

Silicone toys react poorly to silicone and oil based lubes, so in order to avoid ruining your fancy new butt plug I suggest sticking to the water based choices.

I suggest keeping your plug in a ziplock or small pouch to prevent the buildup of lint and dirt on the surface. This is a good idea anyways because some types of silicone begin to break down upon contact with each other.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

The Love was packaged in a small plastic baggy and a cardboard box. Both the plastic and the cardboard are recyclable. You could use the box for storage but the plastic must be ripped to open in order to get to the plug and is therefor not reusable. The box for the plug bears a picture of the product on the front as well as basic information about it and is not in any way discreet.
    • Good for storage
    • Recyclable

Personal comments

I would be unlikely to recommend this plug to somebody who could easily afford a better alternative unless they were unsure of whether or not they would like it. However, I would not advise against it either. I think that for those who are interested in experimenting with anal play, this could be a great investment. It will not only allow them to test the waters, but will also teach them what they do and do not like before they make a more sizable investment. For some the handle or seam might be an issue, for others it may be perfectly fine. The shape of the plug is great for comfort and insertion, and with some lube you can pretty much eliminate the drag.

Experience

The first time I inserted this plug I inserted it so that it would curve upwards, I figured, this is the direction my colon goes, this is the way the plug is designed to work. The plug was comfortable but felt larger than it is. The second time I opted to try the curve in the opposite direction and I have to say that for me it was actually more comfortable this way, especially when wearing it for longer periods of time. This position did however make masturbation with a dildo less comfortable.

As a beginner with plugs I have to say that going into this I was terrified that the plug would fall out if I was wearing it and walking around the house or even just sitting, and at times it felt like it was threatening to do so. Fortunately for me that was all in my head because it didn't seem to move much, if at all once inserted.
Follow-up commentary
I still really like this butt plug. I think that it is a great starter plug, it stays inserted well, and is comfortable to use during masturbation or sex. The handle still irks me but not as much as it did when I began using the plug. I am gleefully anticipating my purchase of the pure plug as it is supposed to be without all of the flaws found in the Love Pacifier. However if you are like me, and curious about how the shape will work with your body, but aren't sure you want to spend (or can spend) 60 dollars to find out, this is really a fantastic alternative.

I have admired this one cause of the shape. Plus being silicone and so cheap. Only problem I have is, I enjoy the thrusting - leaving a toy sit there doesn't do much for me.
And yet, I'm still tempted. Nutz huh....lol.

Nah thats not nuts. I have bought a couple things I knew wouldn't really do it for me just because I loved the look of them. The Pirate Ducky for instance.

You really can't beat the price for a 100% silicone plug. Like you I would like to see a smaller handle or maybe a shape more like the Njoy plug's have.
    Wonderful review!

Good review. Although I hate the word pacifier as a toy name I went babies to be the furthest thing from my mind at this point and time.

Ugh, I know what you mean. It made it more difficult to write the review too because I really didn't want to keep typing pacifier over and over.
