Ripple by Tantus

Being a straight male, I had never been interested in the idea of anal toys. When first getting the package, I was surprised by the box. It was perhaps the best packaging I have ever seen for a sex toy. Instead of there being nudity and profanity all over the box, it was a classy, see through container that displayed just the toy itself. The box had red accents that made me think of it as Christmas gift. And perhaps the best part of it was that all that the box said was “Tantus Ripple.” Not in one place did it give a description of the product’s intended use. This made everything about the product feel more comfortable.

Having used silicone toys before, I was surprised as to just how high-quality this silicone was. It is smooth and supple, flexible yet firm. While observing the product, I was pleased to see that there were thick sections between each of the four individual beads. I had read horror stories of anal beads breaking off because the connectors were too thin, so this was a relief in design for me. Also, the fear of getting this toy stuck inside was relieved by of this product’s wide, harness-ready base.

Never having had anything inside of me before, it was recommended to me that I first try experimenting with a finger. Because anal tissue is very sensitive, it was important to use lots of lubricant. After becoming comfortable with this first step, I used a water based lubricant on the Ripple. Silicone was the best possible choice for this toy because it is non-porous, and warmed to my body.

The four, gradually larger ripples in this toy were perfect for me as a beginner. The ripples allowed me to gradually insert larger and larger widths into me and prepared me for the largest ripple. This was like having four different toys in one! As a beginner, it surprised me as to how quickly I was able and willing to put all four ripples into me, with the fourth feeling the best. My one complaint about the toy would be that it didn’t have a fifth, even larger ripple.

After use and before cleanup, it was convenient that this toy has a base, and could just sit up on its own, instead of having to lean it on its side. The toy cleaned up well after a thorough washing with soap and hot water. Even though it is made of non-porous material, it still took washing twice to make it perfectly clean.

I would highly recommend this toy to anyone who is interested in experimenting with a butt plug for the first time. Although not quite wide enough to make an effective female dildo, the toy can double as teaser for vaginal play. I would definitely give this toy five out of five stars. Way to go on this one Tantus!
