On first glance, I was struck by how sophisticated yet naughty these feminine cuffs were. The usual flat band is edged with a ruffle of the same faux-leather. Instead of being lacy and overly cute, the stiffer material makes the ruffle more subtle and edgy. They are aesthetically pleasing, and definitely fit the name of "Good Girl Bad Girl" that Booty Parlor has given them.
The GGBG cuffs are easily adjustable. Not only are there three snaps, but the narrow connector strip also adjusts like a belt, with three holes and a toggle. The result is a cuff that will fit from a 9 inch wrist almost all the way down to a 6 inch wrist. The wide straps won't overlap for larger wrists, but the design is such that they look good even when the wide ends don't meet.
Hidden under the toggle buckle on each cuff is a D ring where the chain can be attached. This chain is almost purely decorative. A doubled length of antiqued silver-tone chain, it is pretty and coordinates well with the cuffs. However, they won't hold up to any serious struggling, nor will the cuffs as the D rings are attached to a rather thin piece of faux-leather. While hiding it there does make them less obtrusive for wearing out for a night on the town, it sacrifices some functionality to do so. The visual result of the whole is so nice that much can be forgiven of these cuffs.
The polyethylene faux-leather is a great alternative for vegans and others who do not wish to use leather products. It also allows these cuffs to be in a price bracket that makes them accessible to beginners unsure if they enjoy this kind of play. Unlike many leather substitutes, it looks like nice leather, it feels much closer to leather, and it moves like leather. No, it doesn't smell like leather - in fact, it doesn't smell like much of anything at all. The material feels good against the skin, though it can begin to stick if the weather is hot or you really get to sweating.
The workmanship of these cuffs is much higher than is usually seen in mass produced cuffs. The stitching is tight and even, with no skips or tails hanging out. There are a few places at the connector belt where the pieces didn't line up exactly, but it isn't noticeable unless you're holding the piece up to your nose, hunting for flaws.
Overall, they are well-made and comfortable, with a well thought out and generally well executed design. Treated well, they will last for quite a while. It should be noted that they conform to the wrist much better, and are a bit more comfortable after a short breaking in.
I'm not sure how I feel about the side ribbons on them, but it still still looks like a nice set. Great review.
I like the frill actually. Girly and yet bad! Thanks for the review!
Wonderful review. I like these cuffs, they're very adorable.
I seriously want these! Very nice review!
Thanks Mistress Kay! When I first saw the pictures, I hated the ruffles. They end up looking much better in person, especially once they've broken in a bit and softened.
Thanks Keeshia and Sir! They really are adorable. Now if only they made a stronger version of this design for harder play...
Thanks Newme! These are seriously drool-worthy. You'd like them.
These are really pretty!
Good review
Thanks Sammi! They're some of the prettiest cuffs I have.
How sassy these are! Thanks for the review.
Thanks Lunar Magick!
Fashion cuffs are great :3
@NightNight: In this case, most definitely! Usually they're uncomfortable and useless, but these are great. ^_^
