Kiss Kiss Good Bye

As a stimulating product, this gel does the trick and you get quite a bit, at least compared to other similar products. However, you may be unpleasantly surprised if you are a fan of the raspberry flavor of Kama Sutra's other products. This product is unusually minty in both flavor and scent

Use

The tingling balm is intended to add a little extra sensation to any area where you apply it. On top of that, its flavor invites your partner to lick all those special places, too! It's definitely best for two or more. While it's not intended to arouse, you may find that the tingly coolness aids in arousal during your foreplay.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This is a gel that has a pinkish hue. A dollop will stay where you put it, but it moves easily across your skin when you spread it and comes out of the tube quite easily. In fact, you should be careful not to squeeze out too much from the tube because the hole is a bit large for the thickness.

It is just a tad sticky, so you will probably want to use a quality massage oil product rather than the stimulating balm for massage. Rather, apply this gel in small amounts to specific body parts. On the tongue, it feels thin and comfortable. It does seem to dissolve with saliva.

Even after licking off, this feels a tad sticky; you will probably want to wash with soap and water to remove any residue.

Taste / Aroma

The pleasure balm is available in two flavors. Raspberry kiss is what one would expect to taste and smell like raspberries. Kama Sutra offers other products with this same scent/flavor. Unfortunately, this Raspberry Kiss is nothing you may have come to expect and nothing at all like raspberry. This is because the ingredient that causes the coolness is mint in the form of menthyl lactate.

The strong mint scent can be smelled when you first open the shipping box, even if you leave the tube sealed and inside its own. Other items in the same box make pick up the smell until you wash them.

Similarly, the mint overpowers whatever raspberry flavor there may be. If you opted for this flavor over the spearmint, you may be disappointed. The pleasure balm is definitely sweet and minty and is not unlike toothpaste which won't please everyone.

Performance

If you're into cool and tingly, this product definitely does the trick. It begins to cool immediately on your skin, especially on more sensitive parts, like nipples or your clit. When you're licking this off of someone else, the sensation transfers to your tongue and lips and may not be for everyone.

The sensation doesn't last too long, which is good if you're not a fan. As mentioned, you can easily wash it off with soap or water, though. Otherwise, you'll experience the cooling for approximately 5 - 10 minutes before you may want to reapply.

If you're tempted to use this on your G-spot or as a lube -- don't! The packaging advises against internal use and also warns that it may cause irritation, which is a little odd. If you're worried, try just a bit to see how your body will react.

If you're using this pre-sex, it is compatible with condoms so you don't have to worry about it breaking them down.

Packaging

The balm comes in a narrow box with Kama Sutra's signature golden design and logo. The box could potentially be used as a gift or storage. It would make a cute stocking stuffer. However, it's not necessary to keep and you can recycle it away. The box is sealed with a sticker when you first receive it.

It does include an ingredient list, warnings about irritations and compatibility, which is also on the tube itself. It's nice of the company to include it in both places.

The tube itself has a flip open cap that you an open with one hand. I prefer two, so I can squeeze from the bottom like a tube of toothpaste. The cap is designed to plug the hole from which the gel dispenses to prevent product from coating and gumming up in the cap itself during storage.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Recyclable
    • Very informative packaging

Special Features

Although not a feature exactly, this won't stain fabrics. It's nice not to have to worry about this.

Personal comments

The product list is as follows:

Water (Aqua/Eau), Sucrose, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Polysorbate 80, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Menthyl Lactate, Flavor (Aroma), Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Saccharine, Red 33 (CI 17200), Blue 1 (CI 42090).

Unfortunately, it does contain the vague "flavor." However, the packaging says it has been tested for allergies and there are no parabens in this product.

Experience

I accepted this because it was the raspberry flavor. I absolutely love my raspberry Oil of Love. Unfortunately, the mint was too overpowering and I'm not a fan of mint to begin with. As a consumer, I'd be pretty disappointed with this.

Great review! I would be majorly disappointed by a MINT-y flavor instead of a raspberry one
