Lovely...
Fresh clean scents, and a good burn time for the price. I will definately get more of these to freshen up smaller rooms in my house. Mixing and matching the fragrances seems to be a good way to go.Published: April 21, 2011
Pros:
Inexpensive, nice scents
Cons:
Doesn't cover a larger room
I love candles and there is nothing better than beautiful smells surrounding you. I ordered the Champagne Lights candles by Kingman because there are 4 different scents to mix and match, they contain pheromones and they are affordable for actually using daily in your home.
They are 4 ounce jars with screw on lids. It is granulated wax with the wick. Be careful when you open them or you may spill out the wax and I can't see it being very easy to clean up. The wick get shifted a little during shipping and handling but I poured about half of it into a bowl and re-situated the wicks and then poured the wax back into them before lighting. Burn time is supposed to be 12 hours and that seems about correct, they burn evenly as far as I can tell so far. I also tapped mine a few times bottom side down on the counter to get the wax granules even in the jars before lighting them so that they will burn evenly. Trim your wick to about 1/4" before lighting. When you are done burning you can simple screw the lid back on.
I purchased two scents: Champagne Rain- a floral scent, kind of like roses. And Midnight- a fresh linen like scent. Both are very aromatic, not overwhelming. The smell doesn't disperse much but smells very good in a small area. I decided on putting them both in my bathroom and did not put the lids back on them, together it is a nice clean rose smell that covers the bathroom quite nicely.
They also come in Apple Cinnamon and French Vanilla, which I will now be getting. I think if you set them in small areas or on tables beside where you will be sitting or smelling you will like them. They won't however scent a large room without having a couple going at one time. I plan on getting a couple of each and spreading them through the house where I can take the lids off and let them sit as well as burning them to freshen things up.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I still like these candles, smell great and great price. Want to issue a warning though: I had one burning for about 2 hours and I don't know if it is the humidity in my house combined with the glass getting so hot but the glass broke and it got wax on my shelf. In the future I will keep them placed on a small plate to avoid wax damage and keep up high away from people that way if this happens again, no one will get hurt.

pheromone candle

What is this made of? It almost looks like sugar.

It's made out of regular wax except it's like wax crystals. It looks and feels like sand. I had that exact candle and it didn't smell at all even though it was really pretty.

Does anyone else remember that smell? I miss it so, I would love to have a candle that smelled like that.

I like a lot of scents, but have yet to find a candle that really scents the room. Any suggestions?

vanilla is good.

Does anyone remember the cedarwood sage scent from Bath & Body Works? That was my favorite. They discontinued it, though. Oh well. Most of their stuff has parabens in it anyway.

great review!
Thanks I just ordered more.
cool review
I keep reading these reviews and this is the only one that suggests a scented room--but a small room. Maybe like a bathroom?
Exactly they are perfect for bathrooms.
Thanks for the review!
