The top of the vibrator consists of a soft flexible head which measures 7" around. The head is attached to the shaft by a 2" diameter, 1/2" long, flexible blue neck. The wand feels a little bit heavy in my hand, almost like a power tool, but not so heavy that it took away from any pleasure received. It weighs about 2 pounds.

I would say that anyone who is not sensitive to strong vibrations would enjoy using the wand, beginner or advanced. I have studied up on these and they are a total rip off. Do not buy them because they are not really made for the Hitachi Magic Wand. They are not made for brush-less type motors and the true Hitachi Magic Wand has a brush-less type motor. Do not be fooled. They are an electrical hazard, and will shorten the life of your wand.

All vibrations are located in the head. The controls are very easy to use and are located on the front of the wand close to where you would naturally hold it. You simply push a flip switch back and forth for high and higher, and leave it in the middle for off. Hitachi Magic Wand runs on electricity, which I love because there are no pesky batteries to run down. This way you have all the time in the world to get the job done and more. Some complain about the cord, but it has caused me no trouble. At 6', it is plenty long, and if this does not please you, get an extension cord. The wand is very noisy. No problem for me, but you could always say you've got a cramp in your leg or something similar if someone complains. If it bothers you put some head phones or ear buds in with some relaxing music playing.

Being electric, the wand is not waterproof at all. As stated before, performance is tops. The big plus is its durability.
