Not the best, but not the worst

When I first began using this product, it was just fine. It smells nice and has a nice creamy feel to it. It apparently only works, however, when you have a razor that has tons of moisture/shave gel in it to begin with. As soon as I changed shave creams away from this one, my new razor worked wonderfully.

Use

I purchased this shave cream a while ago, and have been using it for a few months. It's thinner than shave creams I've used in the past, but I believe that's part of what EOS is going for. It reminds me more of a lotion than something for shaving. However, I have to remind myself that it is a shave CREAM, not a shave gel, so it doesn't thicken when you rub it on your skin.

The ingredients in this product are:
Water (Eau), Mineral Oil (Huile Minerale), Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Glycol Stearate, Triethanolamine, Cetyl Alcohol, Petrolatum, Glucono Delta Lactone, Sodium Benzoate, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Carbomer, Fragrance (Parfum), Disodium EDTA, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter(, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Propylene Glycol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

As I said previously, this is a cream, not a gel. It feels similar to lotion, although perhaps slightly thicker. When it's on the skin, it feels almost as though it is absorbed. It doesn't really seem to stay on top of the skin, which is generally what you want when shaving. It is creamy, but I always feel like I have to use copious amounts of it just to cover my legs or underarms to shave them.

Taste / Aroma

This is one place where this shave cream really excels. The scent that I purchased is the pomegranate raspberry. It smells really nice, not overly sweet like some fruity scents tend to be. I'm not sure that it really smells like pomegranate, but it's a lovely scent nonetheless.

As for taste, I would assume that it would taste bad, as it's not meant to be ingested. I wouldn't recommend trying it.

Performance

This shave cream does seem to last long, despite the need to use large amounts of it every time you shave. It rinses off easily, but leaves my skin feeling drier than before I had used it. I would expect it to be more moisturized, considering that it is called "Ultra moisturizing shave cream," but that hasn't been the experience for me.
    • Dries up too fast

Experience

I had no problems with this when I first began using it. I was using the Venus Spa Breeze razor at the time, which has extra moisture in it. I recently switched razors, though. When I changed to the Schick Hydro razor, I suddenly had problems with razor burn, especially in my underarms. I assumed this was from the razor, not the cream. However, when I switched to the Simply sensual shave creme, I had no problems at all with the razor, so I must assume it's the cream.
Follow-up commentary
I still would pass on this shaving cream if you have anything else to use. It's drying, and not thick enough to keep the razor gliding smoothly along your skin.
