Ultra moisturizing shave cream - shaving foam discontinued by Evolution of Smooth - review by TdotY

Now that spring is here and summer is right around the corner, you're going to need a good shaving cream, like this one! EOS shaving cream is a non-foaming, smooth, moisturizing, nutrient-packed shaving cream that not only smells good but also helps to prevent razor bumps. It says it's good for sensitive skin, but I wouldn't use it on your sensitive areas. If you do have very sensitive skin, I would recommend purchasing the non-scented version of this shaving cream.

Ingredients- Water, Mineral Oil, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Glycol Stearate, Triethanolamine, Cetyl Alcohol, Petrolatum, Glucono Delta Lactone, Sodium Benzoate, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Carbomer, Fragrance, Disodium Edta, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Propylene Glycol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Limonene, Linalool, Violet 2 (CI60725), Red 40 (CI16035).

I wish I would have read the ingredients before buying this product. I assumed, since their hand lotion and lip balms are organic, that their shaving cream would be the same. Sadly, it contains some products that are not all that great for you or the earth.

EOS shaving cream is a non-foaming shaving cream. It's thick, creamy, and has the consistency of a thick lotion. It's not like a lot of shaving creams that most people are used to, but once you use a shaving cream like this, you will probably want to start using them rather than the gel/foaming shaving cream.

The EOS shaving cream scent that I purchased was Lavender Jasmine. The scent of this is one of my favorite things about this shaving cream. The smell is heavenly! It is very soothing, feminine, delicate, and calm-inducing. It has a floral scent, and the lavender is very noticeable. The scent is pretty strong. It will have your entire bathroom smelling good. This product is intended for external use only, so don't go tasting it! I'm sure it wouldn't be very tasty!

Since EOS shaving cream is infused with shea butter and mineral oil, it left my legs incredibly smooth and moisturized afterward, which was really nice! However, I did feel like it clogged-up my razor, making it hard for my razor to make smooth contact with my skin. I still got a close shave with this stuff, but I was constantly having to rinse my razor. It actually made my shaving process take longer than normal. They say you can use this shaving cream for a wet or dry shave, but I didn't want to take the chance of shaving dry. My skin is way too sensitive for that.

The EOS shaving cream I got comes in a purple pump-top bottle that is cute and has a rubbery feel to it, which makes it really easy to hold in the shower. The only thing I really didn't like about this shaving cream was the pump-top bottle. If you don't remove the top and bang out the remaining product, a lot of this stuff can go to waste. I had to leave it upside-down when it got to the bottom of the bottle. It was actually quite frustrating. On the bright side, the bottle is recyclable, and I love that!
